Sexton has that lightning quick first step and athleticism- and he is just a great worker and leader. I really really like the pick.

Its hard for a point guard to totally dominate in today's NBA unless they are Curry like- but i think Sexton could definitely be the 2nd best player on a great team someday. Obviously that is WILDLY premature, but its just based on what i have read/seen thus far which is of course all we have to go on.

What kind of kid CONTINUES to go to classes when he doesnt have to and gets a 4.0?

if right now i had to choose between Lonzo Ball, Fultz, or Sexton - i am taking Sexton without a 2nd thought.
Woah, woah, WOAH....

Easy, Killer....

Let the kid play a month of regular Season ball against legit NBA talent first....lol

But, yeah....

He's playing well.

So is my guy, SGA.

But, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

You should let wiggy proclaim Sexton the ROY. It's more entertaining that way.

totally agree

it just gives me comfort when you see a guy that (i) was a highly regarded college recruit like Sexton was, (ii) that he is a hardworker and got good grades and went to class even when he didnt have to , and (iii) looks pretty good right off the bat

that combination of pedigree and work ethic lets you think that a player is less likely to be a bust- since those are usually the 2 reasons why guys fail-- either their talent level or their work ethic.....Sexton looks like he has both of those things.

a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG way to go obviously though.

ROY has almost more to do with opportunity then anything else a lot of the time.

Having saidthat- i do think Sexton will have the opportunity for playing time that is fundamental towards being a ROY candidate.

A lot of guys will- this rookie class is LOADED.

I wanna argue w/ you, but I can't. This does seem to be a very talented rookie class.

Lmfao....

Dude, it's Summer League.

They get 10 fouls.

Clearly, they play fast and loose with the rules.

Yes, I watched the game.

That's how I know Kevin Knox hit 3 after 3.

Doesn't matter if he made them over a cardboard cut out or a children's booster seat.

The point of the post was that I didn't realize he could consistently make the shot.

I'm baffled why you are working this hard to discredit a 18 year playing Summer League against bench players and D leaguers.

The over-reaction by the announcers was annoying, that's all. They didn't acknowledge why the tide turned in the fourth either; they just kind of lost interest and started talking about non-related subjects.

I'm a Sexton fan.

I was praying he fell to the Clippers.

I see a ton of similarities between he and Fox.

Fair enough...

They were doing some major fan-boying.

I really hope Hart gets minutes for you guys next year.

He looks like he's going to be a good two way player.

Dude can really defend.

Between Hart and Svi, they almost don't need the re-signed KCP. Depth is good though...next year Hart may start.

My early picks are Ayton and Young.

Bagley and Sexton will be in the mix too.

All of those guys will see major minutes.

So, agree about opportunity playing a huge part in who wins.

I didn't know anything about Svi pre draft.

Gotta admit, the Lakers scouting department has really been on point the last few years.

Hart is probably my favorite current Laker.

KCP helped you get LeBron. So, worth it....

He's taking a substantial pay cut next year or he will be moving on.

If he comes into his own this year, things could change. Otherwise, I think most of these 1 year contracts have dubious futures with the Lakers beyond this season.

Wow this thread is popping!

Unfortunately when the games actually start no one is ever in here. It’s a weird dynamic.

How weird that when the games start, people are watching instead of posting on the internet?

Wendell Carter Jr. is my sleeper pick. He's going to get huge minutes with the Bulls going to be in shitter again. Think him and Markkanen are going to have good years, numbers-wise.

I was surprised the amount of hate that was going around for Carter by fans that didn't want their teams drafting him.

He has been sensational.

To a smaller degree, this could be a case of a bigger name player * Bagley * overshadowing another guy on the same roster like Wiggins and Embiid.
