Here's some history of USC beating Alanama for you

Sam "Bam" Cunningham led an all-black Southern California backfield to a rout of all-white Alabama in 1970.
USC-Alabama Rewind: How a 1970 blowout helped integrate the Crimson Tide and SEC

By Kyle Tucker, SEC Country staff
August 31, 2016

LOS ANGELES – He remembers a few of his teammates from the South being apprehensive about the trip, that a couple of them packed guns in their luggage just in case. He knows now that Sept. 12, 1970, was one of the most important nights in college football history.

But back then, in the moment, Sam “Bam” Cunningham was just hoping he’d get to play in his first college game. Praying that if he did, he wouldn’t embarrass himself. Fate had much bigger plans for the backup fullback in a tailback-oriented Southern California offense.

“I have no idea why I got to carry the ball that evening,” he said. “I know the rest of the season I never carried the ball that much in one game. It was just the good Lord doing what he does.”

Cunningham became the unlikely star of an all-black backfield against all-white Alabama that night in Birmingham when he rumbled for 135 yards and 2 touchdowns on 12 carries in a 42-21 rout of the Crimson Tide. So stunning was that result, it has long been credited with hastening the full integration of Southeastern Conference football.

The next season, Alabama introduced its first black player, John Mitchell, who went on to become the school’s first black assistant coach and later the SEC’s first black coordinator.

“To be a part of it is just amazing,” Cunningham said. “To see what college football is now and know that we had a hand in kind of making it look like this, it’s special.”
No white people on the team? Man, USC was racist as hell back then.

In 1967 there were 5 black players who walked onto the team.

1971 is when they had the first black players actually play in game, but that was not the first black players they ever tried to recruit. It was just the first black players that were good enough to play that they got, because of the obvious stigmatism of Alabama and the hate and everything else that no doubt came with it.

And if you think a football game somehow changed that perception then you're an idiot. Because black players were treated bad in highschool games even in the 80's and 90's in some counties when I played. It makes for a nice media story, but it's just not really true.

But hey, keep on believing USC came to play a football game in Birmingham and is responsible for changing Alabama football if it makes you feel better, it's not like you have much else going for you.

Of course, because you are butthurt just like I said and your bias is confirmed. The game is over, Alabama won and that's that. All the losers have left to do is accept it or whine about it.

So cry more and watch those old video's Michigan style.
Was the offsides a bad call? Yes, or are you retarded? For a fan of the reigning champs you've got little man syndrome like a motherfucker right now.

"All black-led Southern California backfield". Nowhere does the article state USC didn't have any white players on the team.

You know that's what they wanted tho. I'm glad they've toned down the racism since then and will let white players be RB's too.

I'm enjoying the fuck out of this. I've been physically grinning all morning, this is fucking awesome. If you don't want to be on the dumb people side, stop being a butthurt bitch.

While I’m all for making fun of Saban and Alabama, while they reigning co-National champs might not be the best time.

So the game was so powerful it made Alabama start recruiting and looking for black players years before it was played?

So you have a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

No thanks.

First off, I listed solutions I have heard over the past year. The only exception was the online poll. That was just a joke.

Second, I like different committees coming up with a ballot poll and those ballots along with computer Top 25 make up the selection poll.

The BCS formula should unquestionably be used. The more data you have available the better the result will be. With that said, I still the committee and BCS would have selected the same 4 teams every year.

I'm just glad the committee doesn't automatically select 4 conference champions. That would be absurd.
LOL @ the pseudo BCS formula that not even the BCS would or could explain. The BCS was a bad fvking joke.

And in my 3 years, I still have yet to get "butthurt" in a single conversation with you, unless me saying a call was bad and you going off the deep end means I'm "butthurt".

If sitting on here and making things up about other posters being "butthurt" if they say something that could even remotely be construed as not in Bama's favor is how you're able to "enjoy the fuck" out of life, I pity you dude.

It's Alabama that you are butthurt about.

And of course, the fact Ohio St had to stay at home this year instead of Alabama, rather than get shut out by someone.

Yet I said plenty of times I was fine with OSU not being in the playoff because I had 0 faith that JT would get us anywhere.

It's sad that you have to just throw the word "butthurt" out there because you had a mini meltdown over my saying a call was shitty. You guys just won the title again, buck up.

He might be having trouble believing his own hype of Alabama.
