I guess I'm that certain type of person cause I don't want to hear or see it on Sundays. If I did I would watch Face the Nation or some other talking heads show instead of the game...
Who are you kidding, you couldn't follow along with "Face the Nation" if they gave you pictures to help you...:D

Think the NFLPA is rubbing salt in the wound here, can't see anything coming out of this that would be in their favor.

No camera, no street cred...much respect to a guy like Malcolm Jenkins from me who walks the walk. Most of these players don't seem to even know what they are protesting or why. They get their agenda from their social media feeds and follow it because it allows them to not have to spend their own time or money on an issue that they pretend to care so deeply about. :2cents:

Yup.....it baffles me that these guys will take about all the racial injustice going on but they do nothing about it. All of this started with Kaepernick and that fucking moron does not even vote.

Rock and a hard place. It's definitely time for this issue to just go away, but at the same time the NFLPA does have an interest in not letting the owners make this kind of decision without consulting them first.

NFLPA files grievance to fight anthem policy

After reading the article I do understand them pushing back on the grounds of conduct detrimental, but boy that are flirting with fire here.

Thoughts?
That's exactly what I was thinking.

How fucking stupid is the nflpa for pushing back on this, but not pushing back on cannabis testing?

They want to hate the country while on the job, but they don't want to be a little more personally free off it.:wtf:

The nflpa had a year of chances to do something about it.

The NFL owners imposed this new rule a year ago?

Interesting....
They had a year to voice their voice on this topic and attempt to fix the problem of their players pathetic display at games.

Big mistake on their part. You don't have a right to protest in the work place and if you truly want to protest, rather than just grandstand like most of these guys are actually doing, you can still stay in the locker room. It will be noted who is in the locker room so they'll still be protesting things they actually have no clue about and haven't studied.

They need to get ready for the next CBA. NFL careers are way too short, and these guys take too much physical damage for a team to be able to control a player for 5 years coming out of college. They need to be able to hit free agency sooner and that should be their main focus
The rich players don't want the young players to take their money.

It's the same problem in every controlled market.

I'm not a lawyer but I do understand that the NFL is essentially expanding the reach of conduct detrimental, and opens the door for even more power for the commish, but I could not agree more with your post.

The NFLPA has far bigger fish to fry...pushing back on the new anthem policy is a huge mistake.

IMO...in 2021 the players should be pushing for a much broader guaranteed salary structure that all the other major team sports have. Spending money fighting this should be in the coffers building up to support the rank n file players when they are locked out.
All social justice warrioring is resource depleting.

What the players don't seem to grasp is that nobody gives a fuck about their rights, opinions or feelings. They care about their own rights, opinions and feelings. If they pay their 5 bucks (Cleveland Browns) then play the game, don't suck at it and STFU. Buncha whining pussies. You'd think you were soccer players or something.

IMO...The ones that have set for life money don't really give a shit about those that don't. Even if they did there are so few of them their voice apparently doesn't carry much weight.

The players have long been represented by "NFL" guys, whereas MLB players went out and hired real negotiators...tell me what you want, what you are willing to give up and be prepared to sit out to get it and I'll deliver.
So you're saying the NFLPA needs Trump to lead them.

Well that's a great idea and all, but I really don't think they're smart enough.

Oh you didn’t know? When it comes to the players, people want them to keep politics out of sports and just shut up and play.

It’s ok for everybody else they say.
Yes, Bidwill is well within his right to comment on anything he damn well chooses.

If any of the players would like to buy a team and go on a conservative talk show and tell the players to mind their politics while on the job, then they are free to speak as well.

They're getting mad, because he has the nerve to have a different opinion than theirs. Stupid!

This is what happens when the single digit wonderlics are running your union.

This is why they will win the grievance.

Owners can't change working condition terms or add penalties for where they did not exist before without bargaining with the Union.

I have already tuned out all but Eagles games but if if they keep it up I'll be without a team. Go Phillies.
Like someone else stated, STFU and just play football or quit and actually work for a living.

The head of the players union is literally stealing from those guys and they are too dumb to know it.
