It looks like the Steelers will probably be big favorites in their first 3 games (Browns, Chiefs, Bucs) but after that it does look like a fairly tough schedule.
I'm just thankful that they draw the toughest part of their schedule in November & December, which is typically when Ben plays his best.

Indy huh? Are you basing that completely on Andrew Luck? Because nothing else about that team screams confidence.

I predict we'll see many new entrants into the AFC playoff picture this year. There are so many question marks across the board that it wouldn't shock me to see several worst to first scenarios this year.

Will TB12 and the Pats finally begin to show some regression? Which team(s) will come out of the AFCW? Is Andrew Luck going to stay healthy? Did Big Ben already sorta retire? Mahommes? Can Baker Mayfield and a slew of draft picks finally bring Cleveland into relevance? Sleepers in Houston, Tennessee? Bortles and Fournette get it done again? Jon Gruden's impact on the game (good or bad)?

AFC. WIDE. OPEN.

I believe the new coaching staff will make a huge impact.
IDK... I was excited for them BEFORE Josh McDaniels pulled out the rug from underneath them lol.

Reich should be a good coach though, given he had good success as an OC (only talkin about w/ Chargers, because he didn't call plays in Philly) and will be calling plays in Indy. Not to mention he's part of the successful Dungy-tree.

I just don't think they have the pieces yet. On offense, Quenton Nelson should be a huge upgrade to their O-line, but its 1 piece out of 5. TY Hilton is about the only inspiring piece they have sans Andrew Luck. Marlon Mack could prove worthy, but who else? Jack Doyle isn't going to blow the league up. On defense, they still look like a dumpster fire.

2. Jax
3. Pitt
4. KC
5. Bal
6. Hou

Two each from the north and south huh.

Lot of pressure in BAL this year...With a new GM on the horizon, Flacco, Harbaugh, and the DEF need a good season...I always say with the Ravens...it don't matter what they look like on paper...twice a year, PIT has to be ready to play...this yr will be no different.

I do look for DEN to rebound and I like their chances maybe a tad better than KC, but I every team in the DIV seem has something I like, and something I'm not sure about....should be a fun DIV to watch this yr.
Agreed

They also took another guard in the 2nd, plus they took Banner last year draft, Oline might take a huge leap forward this year depending on the scheme in the running game.

The last two drafts have been very good for the Colts, yes there very young but if this clicks with the new staff, ( let's face it they have a franchise QB already) if these you guys come in and work out, they could be a up and comer this season...

That's a good point. O-line investments are crucial.

Well its an interesting take. But I'd like to see their defense take a step forward if they want to be competitive.

I'm curious to see if their defensive scheme changes from the old way. Sometimes I thought they had guys that fit in different schemes. Chuck was defensive guy and I know they live and die by their schemes but if your not picking the right players for it your setting up for failure

Can somebody tell Mike Tomlin that? He's been drafting man-cover corners for years hoping they can fit into his Tampa-2 zone bullshit.

I'm with you. Can't believe I'm saying that. Even with a healthy Luck (which is still questionable) they're a dumpster fire and at least a couple year away.

Too many question marks to put them anywhere near the playoffs this year.

1. NE
2. PIT
3. DEN
4. LAC
5. HOU
6. CLE

I could easily put Jax in for any of the number 3-6.
Den had a good off season. I think they get back in the playoffs.
LAC no real reason they can't sneak in. I can't feel good about KC right now.
Hou has the talent and a new coach, let's se what they can do? A lot rides on a healthy JJ.
Cle sooner or later is going to surprise. I want to be able to say I told you so.
