If only we could have got studs like rondo, stevenson and javell mcgee...that would be a nice championship squad lol

Probably better than the scrubs you have on the cavs right now?

How is the cavs offseason going btw?

Except that he has never done that, nor has he engaged in any way without media when asked about upcoming free agency. He has never done anything short of honoring his contract and moving on when it expires.

Exactly, and my assumption is that is because hes had the opt outs.

I get that.

But I view the opt outs differently.

He signed long term in Miami because he trusted Riley. He signed long term in LA because he wants stability for his family and he trusts Magic.

He did the 1 year deals in Cleveland in part for financial reasons due to the big cap hike in 2016, but also because he knew he needed that leverage to hold Gilbert accountable. If ever there was a time for LBJ to ask for trade, it would have been last summer when Gilbert let Griffin go and then traded Kyrie against LeBron's wishes.

But, instead he doubled down and said that he wouldn't waive his no trade clause for any reason.

A trade would have brought back assets for Gilbert which wasn't part of his exit strategy, plus like Khawi, who is trading a mass volume of assets for James unless he would have agreed to extend?

Agreed.

But those are just more reasons that he wouldn't do what Kyrie and Kawhi have done.

obviously I would have preferred to get Doncic, Ayton, Jackson or Bamba.....i think those 4 guys have big time star power----- but Sexton was a nice choice. A great leader with tons of talent and he is the definition of a hardworker.

Cavs set to play the Bulls in summer league right now.

Sexton vs. WC Jr

this draft is going to go down as a MONSTER draft.

Knox even looks like he could be a stud...Miles Bridges goes in the late lotto.....

This draft was absolutely crazy for its strength at the top and its depth. Guys like Sexton and Knox are typically top 5 type talents and neither would have even had a CHANCE to top 5 in this draft--- and thats with a major injury to one of the best talents in the draft and him falling.

Solid depth all the way into the second round. We'll have at least a few solid role players emerge from that second round, if not starters.
