Yeah was looking forward to this card but looks like I’m gonna miss it. I love Stipe but think DC will win this one by decision. Also think Holloway gets the win against Ortega.

It seems like in every UFC PPV event this year somebody gets injured or they dont make weight..........Hopefully not the case here.......I also agree DC wins this fight.

I was actually thinking about not getting it because I think Stipe will win easy.

Spoke the truth. Holloway out. No fight for Ortega either, which makes sense. Good for me though now that I don't have to worry about missing this card anymore.

There are rumors that max suffered a mild stroke and his career is in jeopardy. The combination of extreme weight cutting and guys overtraining (sparring) is killing the sport

Holy fuck are you serious? I saw the interview he had with Bisping and Florian live yesterday and I was like, wtf is going on with him. I assumed weight cut, but they said he started showing symptoms much earlier than when he started his weight cut. At least that's what his team has said. That fucking sucks man...Holloway is one of my favorite fighters ever. (albeit I am fairly new to all this)

It popped up early yesterday morning but haven’t seen anything sense. Conor wished him well so who knows

Looks like Max is back on twitter and replying about his situation. No details, but seems like he's been thanking Khabib, Conor, and Bisping for all sending their well wishes to him.

The Halloway rumors are all over the place. At the UFC 226 presser yesterday, Dana admitted that at this point, no one knows exactly what is causing the medical issues for Max. It could be weight-cut or concussion related, or something else entirely.

Whatever the underlying medical issue is, Max should take the next six months off & let his body recover. And maybe he should move up in weight class like he said he was eventually going to need to.

This card is still damn good & one that I am paying for.

DC KO'd Stipe in the 1st round to win the heavyweight title in a fight that neither guy looked great. Then Brock Lesnar jumps in the ring and shoves DC to set up the next title fight. A few thoughts:

1) I don't much like DC (something about his personality bugs me. He's such a cornball) but good for him. He just keeps working hard and making things happen. Unless he's fighting Bones but still.

2) Speaking of Bones, what a fucking shame that dude can't get his shit together. That should have been him tonight making history. He clowned DC both times they fought. He could have beat Stipe as well. Most gifted fighter I've seen. Pissed it all away.

3) Brock coming back and immediately getting a title shot is some fucking straight up bullshit. Doubly so that they had to do spoil DC's big moment with some pro wrestling style nonsense (I'm a big wrasslin fan but it doesn't belong here). I hope DC embarrasses him.

I'm just a casual fan... but UFC is going full WWF. I don't like that.

How long until we start suspecting that they are fixing fights?

I didn't see the Lesnar move coming. I'm a huge Lesnar fan but if the UFC is going to continue to do moves like this one they should do away with the ranking system and just schedule fights for PPV sales. I didn't care for the Connor/Diaz fights. To me they were just money grabs so he didn't have to defend the title. I see this as the same.

They both sucked. I think the money got to them. I think when they got in that final clinch Stipe said tap me on the chin and I will go down and we can go have beers and count our cash.

What a disappointment. He got hit with bombs from Ngannou and didnt drop but a love tap from DC and he is out. Smells fishy.

Brock beats Cormier after Cormier gives up the belt. Stipe fights Cain for the vacated title.

Cmon man. You can’t really believe that. The punches that hurt the most are the ones you don’t see coming. And stipe didn’t see it coming at all. Dc seems to get a lot of hate. Maybe because he is kind of dork or maybe it’s because of how he looks. There is no doubt he is one of the greatest fighters of all time. His only blemishes are to a juicehead sociopath. Dc is going to destroy Brock btw
