Harden is clearly the better SG. He’s and MVP for a reason

That being said there would be lots of instances I would take Klay over Harden given certain roster constructs. For example if you swapped Harden for Klay right now, both teams are worse.

If you have teams around the league a choice between Harden and Klay right now there are lots of teams who would opt for Klay. But overall, Harden is better.

Baloney.

That's an apples vs. oranges argument ....ergo: 2 totally different types of offensive game strategies and team philosophies separating the world champ Dubs from the 2nd runner up Rockettes....as well as pretty much from the rest of the entire league.

Umm what? I’m pretty sure you just agreed with me but my comment is baloney? I’m confused.

Word also reached us Monday night that LeBron’s Lakers, after signing Rajon Rondo away from New Orleans and then losing Randle to the Pelicans, had an opportunity to sign Cousins at a one-year price point similar to the one that landed him in Golden State. But I’m told the Lakers passed, clearing the way for the Warriors to infuriate the basketball public yet again.

This is just dumb on the Lakers part. Within the last week I said I didn't want Boogie when there was talks they were moving onto him once it looked like Paul George was staying in OKC. But I was under the impression that meant LA would sign Boogie long term in hopes of trying to lure Lebron. I didn't like the thought of his injury status and him being there long term. But at that 1 year, 5 mil number? I'd take that all day. There is literally zero downside for the Lakers here. Worst case scenario Boogie is a total shell of himself and is the worst version of himself attitude wise. Well guess what? It's just 5 mil for one year. You wash your hands of it easy. Best case, he's 25 and 10 Boogie, you've made good in roads with him and sign him long term next season. Plus, they just signed Rondo who by all accounts, gets along with Boogie. The two are friends so that would at least be some insurance in case Boogie starts to get disgruntled. If he was interested in coming to LA and that number, you take him no matter what and figure it out later. It's about as close to a no risk move as you get in this league.

I can't wait to see what Jacob Evans III brings to the overall equation.

Heard he's already committed to working out with Boogie, Draymond and Iggy after the summer league season ends to improve his post up leg work and defensive boxing out strength.

Um...what? The Lakers didn't have the luxury of waiting potentially half a year for Boogie yet they've thrown together a hodge podge roster of one year deals. I love my team but they are totally talking out of their ass right here.

Exactly — maybe the Lakers front office is conceding 2019 and trying for the best possible draft pick for 2020?!?

It is almost like they decided — let’s go sign whoever will accept a 1 year deal and clear the books in 2020.

In a way, they have. Unless they are able to pull of the Kawhi trade, that's kind of what they are doing. Although, there is a bit of a purpose to it.

PG and CP3 staying put pretty much ended their pursuit of max level guys this off-season. So, to preserve cap space for next off-season, they are signing guys willing to play on 1 year deals just like they did last year.

The reason they are taking in guys like Rondo and Stephenson is because they, especially Rondo, will provide leadership and even more important, they will push and challenge the young guys and hold them accountable.

Basically, they are here so the Lakers and Lebron can see who among the young guys is going to be part of the team going forward and who isn't.

They did not, but when 3 players got together to build a super team of course others would take note.

Heat started the trend, Warriors perfected it.

Rip on LeBron for the super team stuff all you want, but are we seriously going to pretend that the super team stuff started with him and the Heat? What about when the Celtics traded for both Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen to team them up for a super team with Paul Pierce with all three of them in their primes back in 2007? Does that just not count, or what?

I'll just say as a resident of the Bay Area and a Kentucky fan, this made me really happy.
I've always said if there was a guy who went to UK on the Warriors, I'd be a lot more interested in them.
I'm just not into the NBA.
Well, now I'll probably go to a game.
Of course, since they've gone from the joke team of the Bay Area to a seemingly unstoppable force, it'll probably be tough to get tickets. LOL
