For over 30 years, WWE has became the one travelling circus(along with the defunct WCW) of a wrestling promotion that seems to never end. Their cards are held in different cities in the US, Canada, and some parts of Europe and so on, almost everyday. Two weekly shows, live house shows, occasional ppvs, but when will their top wrestlers ever rest?

There should be a one month holiday. These superstar wrestlers need time away from the shows. All that traveling in between arenas are a headache I betcha.

They all know what they are signing up for when become a professional wrestler. Have there been marriages destroyed because of wrestling? Absolutely. It takes severe understanding by both parties to know that it's the sort of life you live when you partake in wrestling.

Wrong. ROH, TNA, IMPACT. New Japan, just to name a few.

USA pays WWE big money, and they or whoever buys their tv rights is about to pay them a ton more, they don’t want WWE to have an off-season.

I wouldn't say have an offseason but rotate people out and give them a month off once a year.

Problem is most wrestlers don't want to miss their prime earning years unless they're forced to by an injury. Also, WWE doesn't write storylines far enough in advance to plan breaks for each wrestler. If someone is burnt out and needs a break they will pull them from the road for a couple weeks but more than that is hard to fit into ongoing storylines.

You have to remember wrestlers aren't employees they are independent contractors. They don't get paid time off with their spot saved for them. If you don't work you doon't get paid and if you don't work someone else will take your spot and your money. It's that simple. This is why you don't hear wrestlers talk about taking regular time off, only fans.

I wish they'd do that more often.

We'll never see an off-season in wrestling like the other main sports have.

I was against an off-season, but a month off or so wouldn't be bad right after WrestleMania. Could refresh the writing, refresh the storylines and refresh the wrestlers, also with some much needed rest they could reduce injury.

Truthfully I haven't watched much WWE recently, just no interest right now and time. But my guess is not much has changed since I last tuned in and there is not much excitement going on. Reigns is the new Cena, Cena is part time, guys are getting older, the young guys get stuck in mid card due to writing.

Just end the season with WM, come back in June for a fresh Summer start.

If Disney or big boy Fox was involved instead of FS1 I could see some down period time as they have invested so much into other sports. But USA and FS1 don't have shit for content so can't see them giving up on an audience that brings them more viewers than they currently have.

I don't see what FS1 has to do with anything. WWE will be on the broadcast Fox Network not FS1. So, big boy Fox is involved.

With the amount of money they will be paid for their TV shows under the new TV contracts there is no way in hell there will be any off season for WWE. Plus WWE constantly brags that they don't have an offseason unlike other sports (entertainment) so they have zero interest in one.

With the size of the roster they have now they could easily rotate guys and girls off TV for a few weeks if they need a break. No need to have an offseason with everyone off at the same time. They seem to be doing this already.

And part of the reason why networks like USA and now Fox love them is because they run 52 weeks a year and do very well in the ratings. So if you're a network and you know that you have a show that you can count on every week plus doesn't have an insanely high production cost like actual tv shows you make them a valuable asset.

No I agree, I don't think they will ever have an off season but I would be for one.

I was under the assumption that Smackdown will be put on FS1? If they put it on big boy Fox and don't move it to Wednesday then it is kind of dumb on their part IMO.
