The Cowboys are $60 million under next year's cap and have one position starter over 30. They are in great shape
Some good potential. I asked the question about Martin and Robinson purely because they both take up, IIRC, 7.9% of the cap in terms of just AAV. Wanted to see how strongly people feel about paying WR's or not.

Im talking about reporters at the camp, trust me, they would not hesitate to tell us all how shitty he looks

half speed, in half pads, against no tacklers?

Hell, I'd look good out there too.

The sophomore slump that was better than your returning veteran?

I'm not a big "gotta pay your top WR guy". The exception in OBJ. He's a once in a generation player and think the Giants should bust the bank for him. Highest paid NFL player, ever. 10 years, $225M...give him an A-Rod contract (the baseball one, not the one that likes men).

I don't know, the only WR to get a 7 year or more deal in the current CBA (or at least since 2012 in my excel sheet, still working on 2011) is Megatron, and he got 15.64% of the cap in 2012 dollars.

AB and Julio got barely over 10%.

If your measuring stick for Dak greatness is a declining 38 year old, 5-11 may be more accurate

OBJ deserves it. They should pay the man, he's worth it. Back up the armored truck!

Most teams worry about the glory positions. Dallas worries about the guys in the trenches that matter and that's why we win championships...errrr...let's change that to hopefully that's why we WILL win Championship(s)...:hope:
Well only recently. Jerruh certainly neglected the OL and DL for many years and spent the money and draft resources on the WR position. This obviously did not work well and I like what we are doing right now as games are won up front

Nope, not measuring stick. Just pointing out that QB reports shouldn't come from fans of an Eli led team

He's getting his deal

I hope you pay him every dime he is worth, plus 10%. If he's not the highest paid player in the NFL then he should hold out until he gets that. He's worth it.

Eventually he'll figure it out...

Sheesh, how can they focus on paying OBJ all that he deserves while they have overhyped d-linemen attacking teamates with his helmet???

Sheesh, Giants. Get your priorities straight. Sign the best player of the millenia and THEN assault each other with helmets.

Closest I am finding is Larry Fitzgerald's deal of 8 years at 12.5% which is pretty close to what you said but with two more years.

Paying OBJ less than that would be a slap in the face.

Giants really need to show their dedication to the greatest NFL player, perhaps greatest athlete in history, by setting the bar so high it is never topped during the life of said contract.

Not trolling, as I would love to have an OL like the Cowboys have, but with the great OL, solid RB's good QB's and an average(?) D, why hasn't it translated to more and bigger wins? Something is missing. Not picking on Dallas, but wondering if having a great OL along with the expense of having it, is not a solid model for success.

When you are running a two-RB, no QB offense, you need to invest in line play.

Oh I don't know. You did ok last year with a 1.5QB, .5RB, 0WR lineup.
