60% of the OOC games in the big12 are against mid-majors or
1-AA's.

I got a tell ya something...playing them is a bigger laugh then
quoting their records.

Didn't your school have to re schedule a game last season against a scrub just to get bowl eligible?

You had to switch it to “your team vs my team” because your original argument of “your conference vs my conference” was getting crushed. Congrats on the deflection.

Huh? The ACC plays more games for P5 opponents...and AVERAGE
more per team than the Big12. 19-11 total and 1.4 pt vs 1.1 pt

Why would any writer pen an article like that?

How could he come to the conclusions that he did.

I'll list them in his order and list the records of their OOC opponents
from last year.

Texas 17-21

WVU 19-17

Okla 27-13

TCU 26-12

Tx Tech 15-20

Kan St 21-13

Iowa St 26-15

Okla St 18-19

Baylor 17-20

Kansas 20-17

The writer either doesn't follow CFB real closely or he has a
vivid imagination

Or maybe he realizes just using records is kind of a dumb way to measure strength if schedule.

Do you believe that the fact that the ACC has an extra OOC game per team comes into play? How about you research the total number of P5 teams played and compare that?

I did.

The ACC plays 19 the Big12 plays 11. The ACC averages 1.4 P5
teams, the Big12 averages 1.1.

I’m talking over the entire schedule.
So the Big12 plays a 9 game conference schedule so they average 10.1 games against P5 opponents. The ACC plays 8 conference games so they average 9.4 games against P5 opponents. The Big12 has one team playing 11 games against P5 opponents, the ACC has none. Again, the fact that the ACC plays one less conference games, makes it a hell of a lot easier for them to schedule 2 P5 OOC games, they still can have 2 mid-majors/FCS opponents. You aren’t comparing apples to apples because of conference schedules.

So you're doing your Alaska Guy impersonations...eh?

We don't play 2 P5 games because we have to face Kansas every year.

That's a legit argument.

Or you can look at it the way, the ACC plays 2.6 midmajor/FCS opponents while the Big12 play 1.9 on average.

No, I’m not insulting you for playing 8 conference games. I’m stating a fact that it is easier to schedule a second P5 opponent when you can still have two scrubs on your schedule.

You also have Duke, Georgia Tech, Boston College, Syracuse, UNC. The ACC has plenty of cupcakes like every conference.

What are we supposed to use?

Maybe something a little more complete. Using a method that says a 8 win SEC team is worse than a 9 win FCS team is obviously wrong

Would be easier if the CFB Bowl committee said you have to play a minimum of 11 P5 opponents to be eligible for the 2023 playoffs and beyond.

TCU: Southern, at SMU, Ohio State in Arlington. Fascinating matchup with the Buckeyes. It will be a true neutral-site game – Ohio State’s fans travel like crazy and are everywhere; they might match the Horned Frog fans in number – but Gary Patterson assures TCU it won’t be outcoached.

They are using SEC definitions, like when Boise State played a neutral site game against Georgia in Atlanta.

I would bet the game sounds more like an OSU home game.

Huh? 65% of the ACC ooc is against midmajors and 1-AA opponents. All of that even with mandated games vs ND. An yet you gave the B12 shit for them having 60% of that.

TCU is a much smaller school so it just doesn't have near the alumni a school like tOSU has. They'll be at Jerry's World but they barely fill their smaller home stadium...even when they have good teams.
