Rinne was not good in that series. He's going to win the vezina and he was pulled 3 times that series. You don't necessarily need spectacular play from your goalie but you need them to be "good".

Also, Winnipeg is really deep down the middle. Reminds me of Pitt last year. Also makes it tempting to go all in on Tavares. Rolling out line after line of Tavares, Nico and Zajac is as good as anything in the league.

Apparently everyone on Carolina not named Sebastian Aho is available. Skinner? Teravainen? Hanifin?

Looking at Carolina's roster, they have defensive depth. Thoughts on Justin Faulk? He just turned 26 in March, signed for 2 more years at $4.83, has averaged over 23 minutes a night for his career. Seems like an ideal candidate, assuming the asking price isn't out of control.

Skinner has always been a Carolina fav of mine... maybe I'm still in the past with him but he has great hands and speed back then.

Hanifin is for potential and fills a D need.

I don't know enough about him to engage so if he knows how to play, that'll always be a nod for yes.

i'll tell you if there is a gm that will pounce on the canes it will be ray that is for sure. heck i could see him offering up the #1 pick this year to get someone from the canes. which i'm all for! get some more nhl talent on this roster to help hall.

shero will definitely be making some moves this summer

Sign Tavares, trade for a Carolina defenseman, boom, done. Also, with a Carolina trade, I would be willing to take on a contract in order to lower the price (think Justin Williams).

Ekman Larsson apparently talking extension with the Coyotes so that option is likely gone.

fucking Tampa.....

can't wait for real upgrades this summer!!!

Now, I will feel tough and iffy about it now, but the more I think the more I would move Zacha.

I'm still not on it because he can grow into a big for us, looking at these final 4 teams, speed and size is their ally and we don't have much in that department.

But i'm getting more and more open to moving Zacha... not sure if he'll have that scoring threat. Hopefully this summer he becomes more aggressive in the offense.

zacha sucks he just seems lazy and uninterested and lack of passion. a guy that size reminds me of zubrus 2.0

what a waste of the 6 pick! when we could've had barzal or povoronov or wereski

thanks conte and lou!

i saw that cory listed his house and its a nice house! can't believe the taxes are 47,000 a year! lol only in jersey

thats pretty incredible! i'm sure its overblown but still thats just nuts! i'm sure his parents will be real proud of him lol.

from what i hear though kids are going absolutely nuts for this fortnite game i dont get it but whatever.

they really could narrow this list down if they wanted to. #1 its a prominent nhl team. my guess is its an original 6 or a team that has had a lot of success. #2 he hasn't played in the nhl yet being a? #3 "elite" pick? meaning he was drafted high at least in the top 15 imo top 10.

hopefully its not mcloed

LOL. Funny as hell. Good point on Zubrus. The guy was a killer on Ottawa and he comes to NJ and plays like a gentle giant.
AND, during that draft yes I was saying Provorov. At the time sure we needed offense but Provorov on the team right now would be an asset to what we have.

As far as NJ taxes? Well thank the Libs in this state. All the hard working tax payers moving out. Pretty soon libs will wonder why the money is gone. Duh?

Mirco had a really strong tournament. Hopefully he gets a permanent spot in this lineup, thought he was better than just about everyone else.
