Sharks played as perfect of a game as you could want... Jones was incredible... Like I said before above - this loss of ALL on Hertl... This wouldve been a regulation win for SJ if it was for his stupid ass... What made me super mad was after Hertl tied it, hes shown on TV smiling... If I was Coach D, I woulda told him wipe that fucking smile off your gdamn face, this game would be over if it was for your dumb ass!... PS MA Fleury had the save of the playoffs in OT...

I am VERY VERY happy how the Sharks played with the exception of the retard that sank SJ... Im very happy they didnt fold after that, but it never shoulda been at that point of having to make a come back... Very very optimistic, but D needs to light a fire under his stupid ass.

The Sharks played a very good game, well enough to win on most nights. They have been getting better with each game in this series, even with the Game 3 OTL. Bad mistake by Hertl for sure, especially with how Neal did a good job in selling the call. The concern is the D-men getting worn down by Vegas' speed, considering that Martin's minutes decreased as the game went on.

If the sharks could 2 good games out of Jones they’d be up 3-0 right now. Jones has been below average at best this series. Vegas would be in trouble if the regular playoff jones would show up, not regular season jones. He doesn’t even need to steal a game though it wouldn’t hurt if he did

Great game by SJ all around - goaltending, defense, and physically taking it to Vegas. Getting better each game this series, and tonight was their best game.

Completely agree, this was the best game of the season so far. Like you said every game the Sharks have gotten better and better. Have to be even better in Vegas if we are to win this series but I like that this team is wiping away doubts we all have. Sharks truly have it all, speed, physicality, depth, heart. If we can somehow get by Vegas this series anything is possible. One game at a time, lets keep this shit up!

Still need Jones to play up to his ability, that being said Leary maybe getting a little tired with all the rubber he’s been facing. A lot of his save have lots of lateral movement and that just wears you down

He may hate to lose, but if they lose this series its still all on him for that BS he pulled in game 3... This series should be 3-2 SJ if it wasnt for his stupidity...

you can't pin the entire series on Hertl when he's been one of the most involved (in a good way) and productive members on this team. It was his fault that Burns stopped playing his man and Jones was basically standing up waiting for the clock to run out when they popped one in with :03 to go which may certainly had led to a much different game since they would have tied it instead of being down 4-3 in the third after their flurry on Fleury. It also wasn't his fault that they were obliterated in game 1. There have been plenty of other chances to win this series already. Hertl is the least of my concerns.

Sorry, my buddy tried to convince me other wise too. But to me with you take a completely AWFUL away from the play pointless penalty that results in 2GA and a loss in a game SJ was completely dominating - thats the series difference... Woulda been up 3-2 coming in to tonight with 2 chances to close out.

Well thats all she wrote... heres the 4 step plan for the offseason:

1) Convince Kane to take a 4M yr contract
2) Tell Jumbo they will only take him back if he accepts a 1M a yr contract with bonuses
3) Sign Tavares
4) Completely dominate with that badass lineup and WIN THE CUP!

*yawn*..

Sort of woke up on game 3 & 4.. saw game 5 and knew exactly how game 6 would go. Meh... 25 years and still going...

Cant really follow them much anymore when I am on the road all the time, but this team looks much more competitive than from 2-3 years ago. Faster, quicker, aggressive.. I think overall team adjustments are going the right direction, but its really deflating to have an expansion team hand you your ass.. if they bring back the hardware to Vegas its really going to hurt.

Anyhow - hope everyone is well... l8r~

1.) I doubt he'd take that unfortunately. I'm betting whoever gets him will probably pay over 6m per for his services. UFA's are always overpayments and he will be no exception. The Sharks desperately need to bring him back though as he gelled really well with the team and actually brought an edge to team vanilla that I haven't seen in a long time. I think he'll stay but it won't be at 4m per.
2.)As legendary as Jumbo is this is a fair assessment. He isn't worth more than that and they won't even be hurting if he retires which I kinda wish he would do at this point. I think he'll be back though for another year.
3.) I'd cream myself if they kept Kane and somehow landed Tavares. That said, I can't recall any time they actually snagged the big UFA prize or even one of the big UFA prizes (unless they were already a Shark the previous season). They just don't go that route and i'm worried they may think that because they were competitive this year that another year without Joe and another year of letting the kids play may be all that they need.
4.) Yes please.

Martin Jones singlehandedly lost 2 games this series he just wasn’t his normal playoff self. Game 3 second goal and tying goal were horrendous at best.

Yeah he let in some absolutely atrocious goals and at times looked like he was stuck in mud. Honestly, this series could have easily been the Sharks in 5.

That said, this team overall looked so much different than in years past and outside of a few stretches of lackadaisical sharks play of past was vastly more entertaining to watch.

Thats why I really wasnt that upset about this loss like previous year loses. I still pinpoint that Hertl penalty as the backbreaker in the series. But overall the team had TONS of chances and when you run into a goalie as hot as MA Fluery was, you cant really be mad since the offense was doing their job for once and peppering him with a lot of quality shots & efforts. It wasnt the normal Sharks putting up 40 shots a game but them all being far out, right into the goalies chest BS they usually do. Plus we seen something we've never seen - when they got down in a game, they didnt quit (besides game 1)...
