Patrick Reed Most Hated Goldfer in Europe?

Why do so many golf fans hate Patrick Reed?

So it says in this article but some of the reasons given are the very reasons I like him so much.

I think Patrick Reed is a breath of fresh air...not every player comes from a golfing blueblood family. This guy has a few warts like a lot of us, earned his way out on tour and has made good.

Whatever his family issues are, one can hope time eventually heals it...having success and not being able to share it with his dad who seemingly was a big influence on him playing golf is pretty sad.

No kidding. He's been kicking their boys asses at the Ryder Cup and letting everyone know about it loud and clear. I thought it was funny that after all of the trash Rory talked Saturday after his round about their upcoming Sunday match, he practically shanked his drive on 1 and was never a factor.

I like the guy. Apparently there aren't many who do.. he and his family aren't on speaking terms. I like the fact that he embraces the moment and is emotional. I couldn't care less whether he "plays well with others" or whether his fellow competitors think he's an asshole. We used to hear about how Phil wasn't popular among his peers too.. that figjam stuff. I couldn't care less. I hope he wins another major soon and I look forward to watching him in the Ryder Cup this fall.

So the title of the article is kinda stupid in my book.

The whole Reed thing is all based on the comment he made boasting that he was a top 5 players in the world after winning a tournament. It's a real dumb thing to say in a sport like golf when the greatest to ever play the game lost 78% of the tournaments he ever played.

But going forward it was ESPN and the Golf Channel who kept bringing that up over & over.

He also got thrown off his team at Georgia and then was voted off his team at a 2nd school but the coach over ruled the team because he knew he had a shot at winning a national championship with the guy as a mid major. I believe they won 2. Chances are the guy is simply a dick. A very talented dick, but a dick.

His performance there is why. Same reason alot of people now dislike Rory. They were both talking alot of trash so if you are rooting for the opposing side... 2+2=4

It is the home of golf.

And I like the idea, they are trying to keep golf, as it was intended to be.........
A lot of their courses , aren't just about target golf.

European golfers, have had a history, of having more imagination, in shot making. (because of Links style golf courses)
