My main point is that he won’t be able to fight anytime soon to get any kind of benefit from this asinine act, though. No one will care about watching him fight in 2-3 years. Not enough to make his layoff from the sport worthwhile. This act has a horrible ROI.

No way. There is just to much money.

So no jail time? No suspension?

My faith in all that is good and holy will be rocked if you are right.

What I was trying to say is that these aren't big charges. He broke a bus window and inadvertently got glass in someone's eye. It caused the card to be worse and cost the UFC and those fighters some money. If anyone has permanent injuries then there will be a problem but other than that Connor will be fine. First offense. He has the money to buy his way out and pay off the lawsuits. The UFC won't do much to him because they will make all of their money back plus a ton more when they have the PPV with McGregor vs Khabib. If they put the hurt fighters on the card they will make even more.
Maybe I'm wrong. I'm wrong all the time. This is just the way I see it playing out. Dana didn't seem mad at Conner last night.

He's going to do some jail or prison time.

And he deserves to.

It really depends on what degree of felony criminal mischief he was charged with that will determine if he has to serve jail time.

-Felony criminal mischief in the fourth degree has a maximum sentence of 1 year with no minimum jail time.
-Second & third degree has a minimal sentencing of 1-3 years.

The misdemeanor assault charges could be plead out to reduce the charges with zero jail time.

He could also have visa issues if he is convicted of a felony.

This is what I was thinking.

The Visa issue will I think be the biggest thing here. Also could be a huge deal in him maintaining his fight license in the US.

Obvious work around would be to let him fight in Russia or Ireland.

That would likely kill any title hopes for him. No way would Dana want to be handcuffed in only having title fights over seas.

Well either way McGregor's first fight would potentially be against Khabib and if that happens, it's going to be in Russia. So it'll be a makeshift solution until something more permanent would allow Conor to compete again in the US.

I have to say though, after watching Khabib this past weekend, I think he still smokes Conor but I think Tony Ferguson has a real legit chance to beat him. Also think if Khabib moved up, Woodley would give him the business.
