How'd we make it to Week 3 without a new MLS thread for this season?

Not everyone has played the same number of matches, but the tables look largely upside down at the moment with teams like Seattle, Portland, and Toronto at the bottom of the table and teams like LAFC, Minnesota, and Philadelphia near the top of the table.

Philadelphia has made some key acquisitions that may very well make them more competitive, but let's slow our roll there.

We beat New England, but they were at 10 men when we netted the two goals, and we tied Columbus 0-0... That's really all at this point. I know Columbus is good, but Philly does have one of (if not the best) keeper in the league in Andre Blake, so we aren't easy to score on.

Officiating was god awful in the Revs V NYC match yesterday. Every time NYC lost possession they fell and so did the official for it.. Pitiful..

Revs defense let them down, they should have won! Either way great match to be at

The Loons sign their 1st DP in franchise history in Darwin Quintero. I'm not sure it's a good signing, as cheap as the transfer fee was. Heath seems committed to the 4-2-3-1 and Quintero gives us 3 solid strikers. So unless we change to a formation with 2 strikers or Quintero slots into Molino's role as the #10, it's a move I'm not sold on.

Can we catch a break with the VAR for once? It seems like every time there's been a VAR review in one of our matches, the call has been in favor of the other team.

That's not going to help MLS' reputation as a retirement league.

Hard for us to be competitive when we trot out a team last night that would have struggled against the Antarctic U-10 team.

The first 15 minutes were okay, though KC was in control. After that...

Obviously if ownership wants to be competitive next season when they finally get into their own stadium they need to invest money in the defense. Calvo may have been gone on NT duty, but he's been just as big a part of the problem a lot of the time this season.
