Westbrook is a stud.

Marquis Lee is not.

JVille has a lot of talent on offense. Like their first round RB and their second round RB from the year before. Those decisions make it hard to improve an offense.

Lewis has been manning a spot for over a decade. That's a first rounder who's done his job.
how is westbrook a stud? is this the same thing as bridgewater was very good?

So nothing to say about the article written about the Eagles being the leaders of managing the cap over the years and creating the strategy every other team copied. You’re just another one of these posters that can’t say, “My bad. I was wrong”. I do it all the time but some people even when proof is given they can’t accept it.

hahahaha, you are wrong about 75% of the time....which ironically is my winning % when betting on sports.

I've never heard of any teams copying the Eagles model.

The Eagles and the Patriots were the first teams to sign players before there deals were up at a discounted rate. Instead of the player waiting 4 or 5 years to get their first big money contract you give it to them after 3 years with a lot upfront but overall a smaller contract then they would have got if they waited for FA. The player benefits by getting their signing bonus ASAP and the team gives them a smaller contract then they would have got if they waited. The Eagles created that strategy that everyone follows now.

That’s not the point. There are many facets to having an elite team and franchise. They made their mistakes. They had some poor drafts. They hired a bad coach in Kelly but they were always very good at extending young players at discounted contracts. They created that strategy.

You can say that about most teams. Not sure why you think the Eagles made the blueprint for this.

Did you see the quote I left above from the NY Times and Dallas Morning News? I read it there and knew about it because it used to be talked about frequently... that’s why I think the Eagles made the blueprint. Major news organizations reported it. It wasn’t me just making up random points.

Yes I did but had to question the FA feeding frenzy the Eagles did in 15 and 16 that did not amount to much. Not exactly the picture of perfection as the article states. The Packers long have been known for drafting and paying to keep their playmakers. They are currently under the cap by 23MM while the Eagles are over 4MM. Which organization do you think is run better?

The Packers are the pioneers, not the Eagles.

That’s a different topic too. I’m not talking about signing FA... I’m talking about managing the cap. I think the Eagles spend a little more lately. They used to be frugal like the Packers but the Eagles have a hell of a lot more talent then GB right now. GB has been drafting poorly for a long time but have one of the greatest players ever in Rodgers.

So FA signing has nothing to do with cap management?? Da fuq
