He seems like a good kid what's not to like about that? Tebow did go a little overboard with the preaching but with all the players beating up girlfriends , getting caught with weapons and getting DUIs I would take more Tuas in a heartbeat.
Honest question - when was he ever preaching? I feel like it was well-known and well-covered by the media that he was very Christian, but I don't recall him ever going out of his way to push it on people.

Tebow is the only good young man to come out of Florduh. Usually just thugs and criminals lol

.....this guy makes tim tebow look like charles manson.

whats the over/under on thanking jesus during his college career?
Tua can throw the ball, where as Tebow was a glorified RB who played QB.

This kid is young and already very accurate with the ball, imagine another few months of tutelage before next season. Embraced in Tuscaloosa he will be.

:wtf:

Tebow hesiman season was similar to VY2K5 season.

Tebow - 3200 yds pass 32TD 6INT
Young - 3000 yds pass 26TD 10INT

Tebow - 895 yds rush 23TD
Young - 1050 yds rush 12 TD

Tebow could ball. You're just hating cause VY sucks and couldn't win the hesiman. 1-2 vs OU.

Yes I always looked at VY's career at Texas a disappointment.

After watching below average QB play cost them the title last year when completing 1 or 2 more easy passes would've slammed the game shut, I think it's easy for Bama to root for a kid who can make basically every throw in the book, AND can get yards on the ground.

He won't be hurts. But he'll be a couple hundred yards and some rushing TDs by the end of the year next year.

Harris is gonna love playing with him. You saw it already in the 2nd half on monday.

Semantics.

Tebow was the prototype Single Wing Tailback. (The QB of the Single Wing)

Considering UF was running the modern day version of the single wing, he was the
perfect player for them and the position.

I'm not suggesting he is better than the Bama kid...just that he was perfect for the
UF offense they were using at the time.

Before the game I thought if Bama needed Hurts to throw then they would be in trouble I was right. With a decent throwing QB Bama was too much for Georgia. I don't know how much Saban will let this kid throw in the future. Saban doesn't seem to like the fact that three things can happen when you throw and two of them are bad. But I'm sure he feels alot better knowing that when needed his QB can make most throws. HUrts seems like a great kid I hope he moves to a position where he might have a shot at the NFL. If not then I'm sure he will be ok with his education and the contacts he will have.

Wasn’t this the guy that was the subject of that hilarious thread from a Bama forum that was about fans wondering about the culture shock of coming to Alabama and having so many English speakers around him. Even though he’s from Hawaii.

i remember quite a few bama fans bashing tebow for the same ideology.....

On the other side, I know several Bama fans that loved Tebow due to his religion (excluding when we played against him). I was/am a big fan Tebow.

Tua and Hurts both seem like high character young men. Like any youngsters, I expect that there are probably a couple of bad decisions in their life but their character seems above reproach. As I said about Amari Cooper, they just seem to be the type of young man you hope your daughter brings home, excepting their Bama affiliation. You have to pull for them to succeed to some degree.
