we should dump the ZBS and go to a power blocking scheme. ZBS is just BS.

I'm for it. Feels like the Seahawks have been trying to pound square pegs into round holes. They keep obtaining these big maulers when zone blocking requires small quick Ol.

I've wanted that for several years now. I've lost any hope that change is coming. I just accept now that a shitty underpaid line is a fact of life for a Pete Carroll team.

How can they not let Cable go after we had our worst rushing performance of the season w/out the QB's stats part of the total yards... Helk, in 1992, even Chris Warren ran for more yardage than our RB's did this year and that was on arguably one of the worst offenses in NFL history...

I can't explain how disappointed i'd be if Cable isn't released... He would at least be used as the scapegoat in this situation... I think you almost have to let him go for the sake of saving grace from the fans...

I'm close to ready to move on from Ifedi as well. Led the league in penalties and just doesn't seem to have made the jump you expect of a first round pick with 2 years as a starter. With Duane Brown under contract through 2018, maybe Fant can compete at RT?

Agreed... He has been so disappointing... He just doesn't fit the zone blocking scheme... Fant is definitely an option at the RT position... I honestly don't even want to see Ifedi back out there on the edge because he did not show any improvement all season imo... Last night I tried to think of a few times where he noticeably did a great job blocking on a run or pass but I couldn't think of any... Maybe a different blocking scheme would help him, who knows... The team may just try and trade him this offseason for a 3rd or 4th...

I hope Bennett is gone. He was more focused on his politics than his play this year, and I think it was a detriment to the team. And as a paying customer, I just have a hard time rooting for him when he disrespects our country during the playing of the anthem....and I think he lied about the police encounter in Vegas. I would just rather not have to see him on our sideline anymore. You could also put him in the category of "better to get rid of a guy a year too early than a year too late." His cap number for '18 is actually $3.5M less than it was this year, but he'll also be 33. We could still save by cutting him.

Definitely my least favorite player on the team... He fell out of favor with most Seahawk fans, as well as NFL fans... He definitely tarnished his legacy here in Seattle... Not much grace for his penalties anymore with his production taking a dive like it did so like Walsh, I hope he gets the pink slip soon...

As far as the RB thing goes, I don't see much reason to bring back anyone we had on the team at the end of the season save JD McKissic. Chris Carson averaged 4 ypc before injury, which is a minor miracle behind this line. I agree we absolutely have to find a way to be somewhere around league average running the ball, but I'm not sure the guy who can do that isn't already here. I want to see what CC can do for a full year, but a mid round pick insurance policy may be smart. I would like to see Prosise get another shot at it as well. He is still dirt cheap, so there is pretty much no risk in giving him one more look.

Agree... An entirely "Gutting" of the backfield is necessary... I don't see Carson as a starter in this league... He's a perfect fit in a support type of role but I think we still need to find our featured back because I don't think he's on the roster yet... "IF" Prosise can stay on the field, he and Carson would be a good One, Two punch but it's tough to believe he will at this point...

I've been at that point already for a few years now. Lynch covered up a lot of flaws in this scheme and that staff.

They weren't good last year either and yet Cable is still here. I just have zero faith left the organization is yet ready to deal with that much change.

So what don't you like about Carson? He showed lots of promise. And as mentioned, 4 ypc behind this line is impressive. I think if he doesn't go down for the season in week 4, this offense would have been quite a bit more effective. I don't know that he has home run type speed, but Lynch didn't either. He has power and seems to have pretty good instincts.

Never said I don't like Carson... I just don't see him a sustainable featured back... I guess I just haven't seen enough of a sample size to believe he can be the featured back on this team... There isn't anything that I dislike about him, he just reminds me of a Latavius Murray type of a back who is not a featured back but is productive in a split role with the Vikings... Like Murray, just not a fan of the upright style of running...

If true, then it's even more sad that we lost to a Drew Stanton led offense...
