Some of you really won't ever learn what this game is about so it's a waste of time to keep trying. To you there is but one component to winning: It's 100000% offense and ALL of the blame on bad offense is purely the OC. It's so utterly stupid there is no real way to combat it.

The game is about scoring more points than the other team. 7 games where this offense scored ZERO points in the first half. SEVEN. ZERO.

You know, IDK why the Seahawks play so shitty in the first half of games. That’s got to get fixed, but I do know it’s the final score that matters.
The problem you got Snuggles is you have a agenda. For whatever reason, you want a wide open passing attack. Kind of like the Saints had for years, but with little success. Now they are moving to having a strong defense, great running attack. Or maybe like the Packers and Rogers. Oddly enough Packers fans seem disappointed with the results. Maybe your a fan of the Colts and Luck? Yeah that worked out great. Think the Steelers were mentioned as team that went to a wide open passing attack. You seem to think that was a good idea, but you know what? No Super Bowls for them. Unlike when they had a strong defense and ran the ball. Falcons? One year wonders probably.

Indifferent to the idea. I think he’s OK, but no genius. I’ve seen many worse. To me the obvious flaw is the OL. Nobody can scheme around having RB tackled three yards behind the line of scrimmage or having the QB under immediate duress from defenders.

So if you have no line, and odds are next year wont be much different, maybe change scheme up? Or just continue next year with same excuses,as Wilson Wagner etc... get older.

my agenda is to see this team win, which isnt going to happen from this point forward unless changes are made.

Yes, but not the changes your calling for. Look RW is elite but different. He’s not going to ever be a QB that step up in the pocket and throw over linemen. If he has a linemen ( no mater if OL or DL) in his line of vision he can’t see over them. That’s why he reluctant to move up in the pocket and when he does he moves sideways to get a clear passing lane or simply runs the ball. The changes that need to be made is have a strong D and effective running game, then RW can add the finishing touches to a championship team.
When RW has a clear line of vision ( no linemen in front of him) he finds the open man and that happens often enough that I can see why some may think the Seahawks should go to a wide open passing attack. However the liability of not being to throw over linemen makes that a bad idea. It’s a bad idea in general to count on a wide open passing attack in any case. Puts to much of a burden on the defense and leads to shoot outs which are rarely sub stainable over the course of a season, especially when you run up against a good D in the playoffs.
Pete way is the right way. He’s just needs to get the running game going again.

I have a solution, let's get a 6.8 foot QB that can see over the line with great ease, OH WAIT ....

all i want is an offense that is built around wilson and uses his strengths. this offense doesnt. our offense is so predictable DL are making plays beause they KNOW when our Gs are pulling. you could see it happen multiple times today. the book on this offense is well read, teams DO NOT fear this O. they seem to know it inside and out.

Bingo! I've been saying this all along as well... RW is a tough QB to block for because he's more of a one read QB... If his first read isn't there, he tends to escape the pocket and move around instead of stepping up into the pocket progressing through his reads... Today is a good example... The first TD to Baldwin, he had time in the pocket and was eyeing him the entire time and made a good throw... Another time, he had plenty of time... Instead of stepping up into the pocket after his first read, Baldwin, wasn't open, he took off running and then ended up barely escaping while throwing the ball away... If he had just stepped up, Lockett had his man beat by 5 yards down the left hash marks... I know there are so many here that believe RW can do know wrong but the truth of the matter is, he's not a very good pocket passer, which makes it extremely difficult to block for someone like him... His height is definitely a reason he leaves the pocket early and it hurts the teams at times... Wilson again, left a lot yardage out there... He is part to blame for our ineptness in the 1st half of games...

how is this not a coaching problem?

surely a savvy OC could come up with ways to fix this height problem. bevell has had 6 years and no such luck yet? i just dont get how anyone can defend him or this crap offense.

It's not about defending Bevell... It's the fact that our OL has been so bad it's really hard to see where the problems are when they can't execute their offense/game plan because of the OL... When you hand off to the RB and he's immediately getting hit behind the LOS on a regular bases, how is that the OC fault? Or when RW drops back and immediately has to flee because of pressure, how is that the OC's fault? You can't execute if the Line isn't doing their job... If Bevell was Cable's, boss, then i'd hold him more accountable but Pete Carroll is Cable's boss... I think some of Bevell's play calls are great but they don't get executed very well due to the ineptness of the OL on a regular basis...

Next year could be rough unless the front office strike gold in the draft, but think 2019 things will be looking better. The cap problem will be relieved and with a rough 2018 the draft spot will be much sweeter and a full compliment of picks. Seahawks really do need to figure out the OL problem, I got confidence they will.

No OC can have a effective offensive plan if RBs are getting smashed as soon as they are handed the ball or the QB has to throw or run immediately.
Come on Snuggles surely you see the OL problem. It's been on going and lately unsurmountable, but I got faith the front office will come up with a solution. May not be next year though...or maybe they'll surprise me and find some roster magic next year.

Bullshit. Prove it.

You will NOT find 90% of any group agreeing that Bevell is entirely the problem with this team. That's utterly wrong and stupid. There are a lot of differing opinions, but some on this site only see what they want to see.

The truth is there are lots of things that aren't ideal. It isn't just one person. It isn't just one thing.

This team spends 70% of their payroll on defense. They make defense 70% of their overall plan to win. That's a fact. They want a conservative offense that doesn't make mistakes that costs them games, but doesn't take risks. That's a fact.

I challenge you to show me where there is unanimous agreement that Bevell is entirely what's wrong with this team. You can't.

You can start backtracking now.
