By whatever they're calling the Veteran's Committee these days.

Both before my time, but congrats to them.

It was about time for Alan Trammell, it would have been great (and appropriate to go in with "Sweet Lou" Whitaker). Not overly thrilled with Jack Morris .... but Tram and Sweet Lou without a doubt!!!

Disappointed that Dale Murphy didn't get the nod.

I probably would have voted for Murphy and Dave Parker before Jack Morris ... both were great fielders as well. Parker could throw someone out at the plate in Pittsburgh from Philadelphia!! Only Dwight Evans had a better arm. I am still mad about Whitaker.

Lou shoulda be in before either of them.

I can not think of one reason he should be left out ... Morris was (probably still is) an asshole. Trammell and Whitaker just played the game exactly like they were suppose to ... what a legendary keystone combination.

Lou never stood for the National Anthem one time during his career.

Both of them were HOF worthy. It's good to see them getting the recognition they deserve. They'll probably both go in as Tigers, as even though Morris is from St. Paul he spent most of his career in Detroit.

And he likely never will because he's not HOF worthy. They guy had only like 6 good seasons, and they weren't great enough to overcompensate that for much of his career he was nothing special.

I don't see how Morris is HOF worthy given his near 4 ERA in a pitcher friendly times.

He's on the list of worst pitchers in the HOF..

I've already stated before how I've felt about Morris, but I'm kind of glad people will finally STFU about him.

So when do the Dennis Martinez and Tim Wakefield HOF campaigns begin?

The Royals retired the number of a 2nd baseman with an 85 OPS+.

Lol. So when do the Athletics retire Mark Ellis's number?

Surprised by either one getting in to be honest. Both were very good players during the mid 80s, but HOF? meh. You could probably make a better case for Morris. I believe he was the WS MVP I think'84? Just my two cents.

I'm in favor of a big hall, so it doesn't bother me.

Trammell was overshadowed by Yount and Ripken, but he was HOF worthy. Morris wasn't even the best Tiger pitcher to not be in the HOF. The only way Jack should be in Cooperstown is by buying a ticket.

Lolich, Dizzy Trout and Tommy Bridges have better cases IMO.
