Windows 10 did a big update (1709) yesterday. Now I am getting the above crash error.

Not sure how to fix it. Anyone know of a good program that updates drivers?

Thanks

Never seen it before but this guy seems to have a lot of options for fixing it.
Fix: CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT error on Windows 10

I am by far not an expert but my guess is you have a driver conflict as that is pretty common. Could be something more serious though. Hopefully you dont have to go all the way back to Windows 8.1.

Hope that helps.

Windows 10 fall creators update really pissed me off and will have us further removing 10 from a few more work machines. We had a POS machine go into this update and was locked up for 3 hours entirely unusable for our business. You simply can't trust users to handle correctly when the pops up telling you there is an update appear.

Its almost like you need to wait for windows to go to the next version before it is safe to use the current version. We are still on Windows 7 at work.

The real crisis here is this is the last version of windows so there will never ever be that stability.

They will have these yearly forced large scale updates and it's up to you to scramble to fix broken drivers and programs. If your machine services customers and has mission critical programs on it, hope everything works out for you. If not, blame your vendor. That's really their stance.

You either deal with that, or use a registry hack to entirely disable updates altogether and then suffer the security risks with not taking the valid patches.
