Cannot say I am surprised by your take given that Mich St is one of the dirtiest teams in the country
Yet you don’t hear me CONSTANTLY complaining about officiating.

Funny story, Michigan gets more penalties called against them than us, so I guess you are dirtier than us.

Because actual flags are thrown? You just validated this thread then. No, conveniently Sparty gets a lot of passes

So you’re completely undisciplined team which got called for FOUR penalties in one play this year gets called for penalties, it’s the officials faults? Maybe stop committing penalties and less flags will be thrown. Novel concept?

So are you through with making the excuses yet? Show me all the OSU fans that said OSU got all the calls and michigan got screwed. You've shown one missed hold - one. Big fucking deal, there are missed holds on probably half of all snaps in football, if not more. I've gone back and looked, and found two potential missed calls that michigan fans are losing their shit over - one on Hurst and one on Peoples-Jones. That's two.

I remember when you played this complain game last year and I actually went back and watched the game on Youtube and found two missed holds on michigan, one while they were punting and another on a pass near the goal line, just in the first quarter. If I went back and looked at the film from Saturday and dissected it, I could probably do the same damn thing, so spare me.

Call me MnB all you want, but goddamn you're being a whiny little runt.

yeah, the refs fucked that up. he had the 1st

Ohio State lucky to be tied in this game. Ill definitely admit as an Ohio State fan the refs have given them more than a couple breaks. Hopefully the Buckeyes wake up in the 2nd half.

Here are a few quotes — I only went through a handful of pages because I’m on my phone and it is a pain in the ass. If you need more, let me know.

I remember last year too — OSU won ‘decidedly’ then too and just like this year, OSU fans said they got all the breaks, while you argued you didn’t.

I’m thinking you should change your name to SnG and let your homer flag fly.

Lastly — Is the King of Excuses really calling someone out on excuses? Have you forgotten some of these:
It was the coaches fault we lost
It was the playcalling that we lost
Our WR can get open, it is the OC’s fault
Enter new OC and it is J.T. Barrett’s fault now
J.T. Barrett is the third best QB on the team, followed up a few weeks later with J.T. Barrett should be in the top 4 for the Heisman
We didn’t get dominated by OU, they only beat us one quarter

Should I keep going? I have an extremely good memory, I could list some more for you:suds:

B1G officiating is bad to everyone at certain points. They seem to "favor" certain teams at certain times, for whatever reason. I honestly think they sometimes flip a coin before the game to see what side they are going to wreck with flags.

I think we had 9 penalties called on us in the first half against Iowa, other games they let us get away with murder.

A lot of the time they absolutely refuse to call holding on our opponents.....and I cant recall a single targeting call going against a opponent of ours in B1G play, while we get players ejected for targeting for way lesser hits than what could be called on others at times.

Too many pages to read.

Has anyone blamed the officials for Nebraska’s season? They would be 12-0 without all those bad calls.

Nope. Can’t say it with a straight face.
Nevermind.

Cool. I also acknowledged those two calls. Again, if you need me to go through like I did last year and show you the missed calls on the opposite side, I guess I can. Otherwise, you're right. OSU got 2-3 calls in their favor that I can see.

How are any of the things I said excuses? The first 3 things you say are me directly blaming our coaches for not doing their jobs. That's not an excuse at all, it's a direct indictment of our program.

When Wilson came in and Barrett was playing crappy, I genuinely thought Barrett had just regressed to the point of no return. I was wrong, as it turned out a lot of it was just Urban needing to back off and give Wilson full control, which he did, and things turned around.

I still think when it comes to pure QB talent (as I had said before), he is 3rd on the team. That's how highly I think of Burrow and Haskins. Barrett has far more experience, so he obviously gets the nod. If they had all started here the same year, I think Barrett would be 3rd on the depth chart.

We kept things competitive through 3 quarters, then they came out in the 4th and pulled away. I never said OU dominated us, and I never said we dominated michigan. I think you have a different definition of what "decidedly" means. Look it up.

Go ahead, because the next excuse you list that I've supposedly given will be the first.

Really? I am not sure you understand the definition of excuse or decidedly.

When you lose and blame the coach, that’s an excuse
When your WRs can’t get open and say it is the OC fault, that’s an excuse
This team didn’t beat us, it was the play calling, that’s an excuse
You get a new OC and still have issues with WR, then it is Barrett’s fault, that’s an excuse

And if you need me to post a link to the definition of decidedly — here you go:
the definition of decidedly

Now tell me what your definition of decidedly is, because obviously it is different than what Webster’s is.

LOL those aren't excuses, those are flat out reasons. If you care to object to them or prove them wrong, be my guest. I'm not going around blaming refs for losses like you guys love to do.

We won by 11 on the road in a game where we also won every metric - total yards, TOP, turnovers. Yes, that would fall under decidedly.

You realize undoubtedly means without a doubt, right? You do know Michigan was up 14-0, then they were up 20-14 and then had the ball with 3 minutes to go and only down 4.

And the decided victory: OSU had 17 first downs. UM had 16. TOP OSU 31 minutes UM 29 minutes. Turnovers UM 1 (with 3 minutes to go, on a play OSU did nothing to force the turnover, it was thrown directly to them) OSU 0. total yards OSU had 55 more.

If that is decidedly in your eyes — Then OU proved Ohio State didn’t belong on the same field with them in that game, because they dominated all the stats with the exception of turnovers and didn’t need a last second TD to win by more than OSU did.

And your excuses, I mean, reasons. Do I need to put the definition of excuse up for you too? Because just like with decidedly, I think you will find you are wrong in both instances. Let me know if this sounds like anything you did:

Attempt to lessen the blame by attaching a fault (not the WR’s, it is the OC) (it is not the WR or OC, it is the QB) (OSU lost not because they weren’t good enough, it was the playcalling) etc. that is what you call an excuse.

That game was never in doubt IMO. After you jumped out to an early 14-0 lead, we outscored you 31-6. I literally never once was worried we were going to lose. Yes, you had the ball down 4, but by then our defense was settled in. Even if we hadn't picked O'Korn off, I wasn't concerned about you scoring. In your 4 previous 2nd half drives, you had 108 total yards. That's 27 yards per drive. We were humming along. The INT was bad, but I never felt like we were in danger. Then we immediately turned around in 3 plays and put it into the end zone to ice it.

I never attempted to lessen blame whatsoever. Quite the opposite - I was very clear on who I felt was to blame, and each time it was someone on our team. How is it an excuse when I'm placing the blame squarely on our own team??

Let me guess — you weren’t worried in the drive prior to the interception and UM went from their 19 yard line with a 24 yard pass, followed by a 9 yard run, a 3 yard run for a first down, then another 9 yard run to give UM 2nd and 1 at the OSU 36. Only to have O’Korn trip I’ve over the center and fall losing 3 yards and missing Chris Evans who was literally standing by himself. But of course, after that — there was never a doubt when UM took over with the ball and down 4.:L

And you realize you literally just used the definition of an excuse to say you are using excuses? You are literally attaching blame elsewhere and saying it is not an excuse. That is the exact definition you just posted.

I was never worried, even when we were down 14. I was right not to worry, as we went on to win by 11.

And, no I literally didn't. The definition says "to attempt to lessen the blame". I did the opposite. I fully blamed us. I never tried to defend or justify. I fully blamed us for our shortcomings. That would be the opposite.

Put up a poll and ask how many people think OSU decidedly beat UM on Saturday. Make sure to post the dominance in stats — where you had 50 more yards, 1 more first down and 2 more minutes of ball control. See how you fare in that poll.:L

And you know what wouldn’t be making an excuse — GIVING CREDIT TO THE TEAM THAT BEAT YOU. Attaching blame to someone else on your OWN TEAM is nothing more than passing the excuse along.

This is what not making an excuse is — Oklahoma beats us because they were the better team. We were lucky it was only 3-3 at the half because they dominated us going up and down the field for 2 quarters. We were lucky to only lose by 15.

That’s not making an excuse. Saying it is on Barrett or they only won because one quarter, etc is called excuses.

LOL I don't need a poll. That's the beauty of opinions. You can feel free to have yours.

What wouldn't be making an excuse, like when I said Oklahoma pulled away and won soundly? Attaching blame to my team isn't an excuse. I truly don't think you know what an excuse is. An excuse is blaming the refs, like what you do.

Oklahoma beat us because they were the better team. I've never said anything to the contrary. You need to realize it's not my job to just tell you what you want to make you happy. Get over yourself already. When you guys stop bitching about refs every year, you can start pointing the fingers at others about excuses. Just make sure they're actually making excuses before you start acting like an idiot again.

Go read what you said after the OU. You did everything but say OU beats us because they were the better team. You went as far as to say they only outplayed you for one quarter, even though they never punted, outgained you by 150 yards, missed a FG and turned the ball over 3 times in OSU territory IN ONE HALF.

It was the OC fault, it was J.T. Barrett’s fault, it was the play callers fault, it was on the coaching staff. Those are called excuses. It is placing blame on why OSU lost. It is the same as UM fans saying it was Speight’s fault, it was O’Korn’s fault, etc. Those are excuses.

And I understand why you wouldn’t put up a poll, because you know it’d prove your ‘opinion’ to be way off base and prove my point. I bet you’d be hard pressed to find another OSU fan to say you decidedly won the game on Saturday and I KNOW the committee isn’t saying that.
