Man... I feel bad for Paul Casey.... Wanted him to win... Did he have the worst round of players today?

Justin Thomas wins it all!!! Jordan Spieth was very generous and respectful when he was interviewed about his friendship with Thomas

Xander wins the TOUR Champ, great playing by the youngster, he and Koepka were the only players under par every round. A total of $4.3 mil this season for the 23 y/o in his 1st full yr out on tour. By way of his 2nd place finish at the TC, Justin Thomas wins the season long FEDEX Cup and the $10 mil. That has to seal it for POTY I would think for him as well.

Casey...fwiw, his 73 was the highest of any of the contenders.

Casey has to be kicking himself for that one!

The formula is still kind of complicated...the only thing I knew was Speith and Thomas seemed to be battling for the Cup...idk if Casey came in high enough (top 5 I think) where a win automatically locks up the Cup.

Eastlake is a tough old course...walked it several times for this event. I have not played it yet, but I have an open invite (if I decide to fork over $200 guest fee!) ...my playing partners have played it...with out the gallery and spotters for the tournament...it's pretty easy to lose balls in the rough they tell me.

I think IF he had won, he would have also won the Cup

Okay...then he was top 5 going in...they all controlled their own fate with a win. After that, it was more complicated. He was right there in the mix for a long time.

Casey has quietly made $21 mil out there so he's doing okay I think.

Atleast I thought that was the case.

I just meant he must be pissed how he lost

I understand...he actually came into the final week in the 10th or 1tth spot in the standing so I think even if he did win he needed Spieth or Thomas to finish lower than X position to win it all. Still...anytime you're in position to win you want to shoot a good final round and he shot +3.
