The only GOAT in bawstun is Belichick. Bwady is just a beneficiary of Belichick's cheatness, I mean, greatness.

And the Astros, collectively, are thinking, "You're an idiot."

The Astro's are overrated. They play in a shit show of a division loaded with garbage pitching and they drew the NL East as their interleague division, so there's more crap.

Nearly 70% of the teams they've faced have below average team ERAs and a quarter of them are literally among the five worst pitching teams in the majors.

I'm not saying they're a bad team, they're good, but they're benefiting from an incredibly weak schedule. Reminds me of Hu's Mets in 2015.

Such a great, original, thought-provoking statement.

LOL. Two of their top three hitters currently DLed. Their top two pitchers spend lengthy time on the DL. Still on a pace to win 100. This team is very, very deep and they have a bullpen built for the post season.

They still have two very good SP in Keuchel and McCullers (when healthy). They've had the best offense in the league this year and it's not very close. I can agree with Slinky in that they've overachieved, but I'd still say they're the best team in the AL.

What is this, some kind of twist on Stockholm Syndrome?

They're collectively 10-13 against the other AL teams that currently have playoff spots.

They've faced the shittiest pitching imaginable this year. They're good, but I certainly don't think they're hands down best.

Indians are 5-13 in interleague. Guess they're fucked if they make it to the WS.

These types of stats always seem important in August and ultimately prove to be irrelevant in October.

Seriously, take a close look at the pitching the Astros have faced thus far. I did it the other day. It's ridiculously bad.

That's because playoff baseball is rife with crapshootidity. Anything can happen. The Indians were not a better team than the Red Sox, Blue Jays or Cubs last year (particularly with their injuries during the postseason), yet the results of the post season would suggest otherwise.

Never said otherwise. But at the same time, their team OPS+ (135) is 28 points higher than the 2nd best (Dodgers at 107). They're scoring 5.83 R/G and the 2nd highest scoring team is averaging 5.48. They've faced bad pitching for sure, but that alone doesn't explain how ridiculously good they've been.
