Florio: Zimmer daring Vikings to make move

A lot of people within the NFL are watching the Minnesota Vikings to see whether or not they will move on from Mike Zimmer and Zimmer could be pushing them to make a call.

Zimmer sees that the Bengals opening is up, he loved it here. He bonded with lots of players still on this roster and organization when his wife died. He also knows how loyal Mike Brown is after 16 years of no playoff wins, he could have the show for 10 years here without breaking a sweat.

Could 2019 Christmas come in January? Please say it is so!

The Wilf's seem to love Zimmer. I can't see them moving on from him just 1 year after reaching the NFC champ game.

I think it would be 100% true if Zimmer were actually cut loose from the Vikings. But I also think that is less than 5% likely.

The good news is that if Cousins keeps playing like Cousins, Zimmer might be available after Hue is done running our franchise into the ground.

not letting you people get my hopes up. If it happens, I might actually watch a game next season.

It was tough not watching the Bengals all season, but I made it, except for watching highlights on nfl.com, which doesn't take long.

Rumor I saw somewhere, Hue may interview for OC job in Minn to reunite with Zimmer.

Personally, I'm intrigued with the Bienemy interview, if it happens. Dude is smart, and from all I've read over the year, there are a lot of people who have a very, very high opinion of him.

Maybe the Bengals would hire Joe Philbin.

This would make sense.... And I think it would solve a lot of problems for the Vikings. My bet would be that Hue could get more out of Cousins than most of the other coaches he has had before.

Hell, Hue could be the Vikings new OC, and maybe Zimmer hires Marvin to be his DC within the next year or two if Marvin doesn't land a head coaching job.

I don't think Zimmer needs Marvin's help. He'd be better off getting a younger guy with some new ideas.

To be fair...the D did improve under Marvin, and that was with a rash of injuries, too.

I think it would be good for him to take some time off, though. Though, coaches are born to coach.
