I think you are being a bit melodramatic. I don't think it's a coincidence that Balt had been linked to Zeitler, then when he is picked they don't want Glenn so they trade down. Something about Glenn teams aren't liking.

Zeitler will be a very good player. I'm a fan of the UW o-linemen.

Yeah, I would've preferred DeCastro but at least they addressed the position. Plus, they picked up an extra 3rd. It wasnt an amazing 1st round (i.e Floyd and DeCastro) but it was solid. Plus, who knows? Maybe in the long run Zeitler ends up being the better pick.

The worst part of passing on DeCastro is the Steelers didn't .........if we are right and they are wrong it will be the first time........

I've had the honor of seeing Zeitler the last three years as a UW season ticket holder. You guys are getting one hell of a complete player. He's not an insane athlete or anything, but he has no glaring weaknesses. It's a good pick without a doubt.

DeCastro had Steeler written all over him. That was an amazing pick for them. Zeitler also though is the type of player that the Steelers typically take (i.e smart, tough, aggressive).

I agree with Tubbs...... Zeitler is a good pick. People are just upset because they are used to hearing DeCastro's name. There was a good reason why DeCastro slipped - He obviously was not a "special" talent that required a top 20 selection.

I would argue Zeitler dominated better defenses more than DeCastro did.

I have zero doubt of this. Zeitler was the top guard in the country last year, and was arguably better than Moffitt (a first team All-America) in 2010.

We'll all love Zeitler. This reminds me of the Whit pick. He wasnt near the highest rated player (most considered it a reach) but apparently Alexander loved his smarts, his game and had him rated higher.

Wisconsin has a proven track record of top flight offensive lineman doing well in the NFL, they take a back seat to no team. The pick was a fine one and they grabbed another top 100 pick, Mike Brown is winning right now

All 5 of their starting OL from 2010 have made it to the NFL (When Konz is drafted). That should tell you something about the product they are puting out in Wisc, regarding their OL.

The 3 that declared/left last year all started from day one in 2011.
