Yeah, it's the off-season. I was watching tv the other day and during lunch on The Food Network they had Food Paradise and the subject was burgers.

This had me thinking on what the top 3 burger spots in the state would be. (At least that you have tried) For me it would be in no particular order...

Sid's (El Reno)
I like Sid's but one friend of mine insist's it's Roberts. (El Reno)

Nic's (OKC)
Can't go wrong, this place is amazing.

Ron's (OKC)
I usually get the Ron's special.

On a side note...Earl's has a pretty good burger. I am not a fan of their BBQ, so when we go I usually get a burger.

Big Eds was great way back when.
Charcoal Oven was great way back when, but nothing special today.
Rons is ok for a burger joint.
Johnnies probably the best out of the above, but a bit overpriced for a Hamburger.

Now, I have discovered "The Garage". It kicks the shit out of anything I've listed.
Just wonderful and I never thought I would say that about a Hamburger.

Had some S&B burgers. They are pretty good. They have all these crazy combinations. Some of them sound terrible, but are surprisingly good.

I miss Big Eds.

The 15th St Grill's "The Thing", an onion burger, two patties, two cheese, smothered in chili!! I don't know if the Grill is still even there, in Midwest City. While I was still in the Air Force, it was THE place for a group of us, once a week.

The Garage is really good.

Although Five Guys is a chain, I like their options (grilled jalapenos!).

Still want to try a Mears burger. Everyone I know who's been says they are the best.

Fat Guys isn't bad.

Their choices alone make them better than average.

Hamburgers are pretty hard to mess up. But who could make a Dinco Darlin today? A pile of elbow noodles smothered in high-fat chili then covered in Wisconsin cheese and topped with a hard egg. Damn I miss those things.

I spent a couple of late nights in that place.
Isn't that Pat the waitress being all irritated at the customers in this clip.

Yea, I think so. The one you didn't want to piss off was Louise. I saw her coldcock a Delta Delta Delta chick one night. She hit her with a straight right and it looked like Sugar Ray Leonard throwing a punch; it was that fast. The Tri-Delt was out cold and they picked her up and carried her out with a nose that was streaming blood. A couple of Norman cops were sitting in there eating and they swore they didn't see anything. That was back when cops were still cool about the little shit.......not like they are today with their SWAT clothing and 30 lbs overweight from steroids thinking everything is a big hairy ass deal.
