I don't care about the Heisman, only QBs and RBs ever win.

I agree. The Center in football is the most complex and demanding position in all of sports. Being a former Linebacker, Centers are kinda mean too. They get no respect. How about a Center for Heisman.

I think Amari Cooper will make the final 5. Jalen Strong is probably just as good, but Cooper has the better numbers.

You should go check the numbers on that....

Stanford and MSU, all the others are comparable, but even then, you still have a worse average than TCU by
5.58 points on average.

Where are you getting your numbers?

I used the Total defense stats for the teams you each have played averaged both teams overall numbers, then compared them. Your overall stats for yours ranks as playing the 70th ranked team while TCU averages out at 64. Its as simple as that.

I'm gonna lose it if Prescott and his 158 QB rating gets the nod over Melvin. The only thing one can possibly fault Melvin for is our two losses, but in the second loss, he ran for 259 yards, and in the first he had 140 yards in 31 minutes before injury.

So even in our losses, Melvin has outplayed Prescott to a laughable degree. Luckily, Mississippi State is gonna lose at least one, so Dak won't finish ahead of Melvin.

For now, I'm fine with Mariota over Melvin. His OL has been depleted and his receivers aren't amazing, yet he still has 10 YPA and a 29-2 TD to Int. ratio. That is Heisman worthy.

Mariota has a better supporting cast? Can I get some of your drugs?

Hell just watch last night. The receivers are a make shift group who can't catch. Byron Marshall his top receiving target was a goddamn running back last year. Allen is hurdle star converted to football.

And please let's leave it at mentioning the o line and not having to go any further. If sacks didn't count against your rushing total his rushing totals last night alone would have been unreal.

Yep. He's been sacked an ungodly amount this year. Guy is magic

Your formula?

You cant figure that out based on what I posted?

A + B...and so on = X/Y, lather, rinse, repeat...then compare.

Not hard to do based on the information at hand.

Devon Allen is a football player who runs hurdles.

Oregon has a lot of weapons... They are all young. But they are good.

Yepperz...MM is a one man wrecking ball. But I'm a Pac gomer. At 6'4" 220lbs, this guy is an NFL GM's "looking for a QB" wet dream. Top notch character and improving CF career stats as well.

Amari Cooper should be up there. He is the best receiver I have seen in quite awhile. Teams know that they have to bracket him and he still gets wide open.

Totally logical to put the guy with worse numbers playing worse defenses ahead of Mariota

Have to agree. I suspect Mariota is the front runner and will have to screw up big to lose. He does so much more than throwing a lot of touchdowns. There is more to being the best player than stats and he is that guy. Prescott, IMO, is the only person who has a shot at beating out Mariota and will have to work some incredible magic these next few weeks. Mississippi State has the schedule to highlight him, however so does Oregon. Losing to Arizona State could hurt Mariota, especially if Mississippi State wins out. Even then, I still give it to Mariota. Not mentioned is Winston. Even though his numbers are way down, that guy is such a positive presence on that team. He is the top leader in football. Too bad he is such a "head case".

tS20's Heisman Contenders

1. Trevone Boykin- really hasn't had a bad game
2a. Marcus Mariota- one loss but had a depleted Oline. Other than that, solid.
2b. Dak Prescott- sorry, but any SEC team undefeated this far into the season has to have one hell of a QB. Could have better stats, but is undefeated.
4. Melvin Gordon- he just runs
5. Amari Cooper- he just gets open

Looks like you have the same drugs supplier.

Boykin "really hasn't had a bad game" Uhhhhhh and Mariota has?

Mariota "other than that, solid" you call his numbers solid?? Nothing more?

Boykin should start with completing 60% of his passes.
