Depends what Iowa teams shows up. Since they have no high expectations, are they going 11-1, or even 12-0, out of nowhere, or the average 8 or 9 win season. They actually had a decent recruiting class after they went 12-0 that season. So, maybe.

Week 1 - Northern Illinois - W - I would say Iowa wins by 2-3 TDs
Week 2 - Iowa State - L - ISU wins by a TD or less
Week 3 - UNI - W - Iowa blowout
Week 4 - Wisconsin - L - About the same as last year. Wisconsin dominates but not a total blowout on the scoreboard
Week 5 - Bye Week
Week 6 - at Minnesota - W - by 2-3 TDs
Week 7 - at Indiana - W - by 2-3 TDs
Week 8 - Maryland - W - close game as it will be a trap game. But Iowa's DL will overwhelm the Terps.
Week 9 - at Penn State - L - it might be close, but not as close as last year. Depends how Iowa's offense improves.
Week 10 - at Purdue - W - I think Purdue will be decent but Iowa will prepare for more than 1 WR.
Week 11 - Northwestern - L - I will hate this loss. It will be a close game but I do think NW will be just a little bit better than Iowa.
Week 12 - at Illinois - W - Blowout
Week 13 - Nebraska - W - Frost won't get Iowa right away.

8-4

Team Iowa could upset - Penn State, they will have Michigan the following week. That is a potential upset.

Toss up games - Iowa State, Maryland, Northwestern

Boise:

At Troy - win
Connecticut - win
At Oklahoma State - struggling with this one because of the track record of how we play on the big stage but I’ll go loss
At Wyoming - win
San Diego State - win
At Nevada - win
Colorado State - win
At Air Force - win
BYU - win
Fresno - win
At New Mexico - win
Utah State - win

We’ll likely find a way to shit the bed at least one other time to go with the OK State loss. Someone that we should beat like San Diego State or Fresno will probably get us, maybe even Troy on the road. Harsin has proven he’s good for that so I’ll say 10-2.

I'm a going ahead and go full homer Same as last year. I think Leonhard gets the defense to near last year's and Wisconsin rolls to 12-0, beat tOSU in Championship game, wins a semi and lost in the Chanpionship game. 14-1

Aug 31 W. Kentucky Mercy rule at the half
Sep 8 New Mexico Mercy rule at the half
Sep 15 BYU Mercy rule at the half.
Sep 22 @Iowa Finally a decent game. Waving at the kids at the half
Oct 6 Nebraska Frosty welcome for the new coach
Oct 13 @Michigan That DL of Michigan's is putrid
Oct 20 Illinois Payback for even being close last year.
Oct 27 @Northwestern Scary game. NW is always tough against us in Evanstin
Nov 3 Rutgers Back to the mercy rule at the half
Nov 10 @Penn St. One I worry about but McSorley is not all that.
Nov 17 @Purdue Hopefully Purdue will have nothing to play for. Grind the Boilermakers to dust.
Nov 24 Minnesota The Axe stays in Madison. Mercy rule at the half.

I see 4 games that may be challenges. 2 because of traditional close games, Iowa and Northwestern and 2 if the D doesn't gel.

Way too early predictions for 2018 Alabama Crimson Tide

vs. Louisville - Breaking in our QBs and brand new secondary will be the main focus.
W(49-24)

vs. Arkansas State - Warm-up game for our QBs, will likely have a solid starter after this game (likely Tua).
W(48-13)

@ Ole Miss - First road night game. Rebels will pass the ball quiet a lot. But we should walk away late.
W(34-20)

vs. Texas A&M - Will be a more physical game, but I don't see Texas A&M or Jimbo slowing down Tua or Harris.
W(52-17)

vs. Louisiana - Cooldown game away from SEC play. Offense and defense should gel very well by this time.
W(51-6)

@ Arkansas - Barring injuries or crazy weather, an easy blowout.
W(49-0)

vs. Missouri - If Drew Lock is what his hype says, could be interesting. But our front 7 will make Drew Lock the only factor.
W(34-21)

@ Tennessee - Should be a hard fought physical game. But let's be real here. Bama pulls away in the 4th.
W(38-13)

OFF

@ LSU - It should be easy, but it won't be. It hasn't been for years. Throw in some bounces for LSU, we might escape.
W(24-17)

vs. Mississippi State - Our toughest team yet, with experience and depth. After LSU, if Moorehead is good, who knows.
W(34-28)

vs. Citadel - Just play to expectation for the first half, rest starters mid 3rd.
W(59-0)

vs. Auburn - This game comes down to a lot of things, so I'll just say what I think it would be on paper.
W(28-24)

Projected: 12-0
Possible: 11-1 (likely MSU or Auburn)
Under bad circumstances: 10-2 (combo of LSU, MSU, or Auburn)

Good games: Ole Miss, Mizzou, LSU, MSU, Auburn

Alabama probably goes undefeated again this yr. or close to it. Games with Auburn and LSU look to be the toughest on the schedule.

It’s crazy to think that Saban’s only done it once. Just goes to show how incredibly hard it is to do. They’re always a candidate though, especially this season with another very friendly schedule.

6-6. First year, not too worried. Just want to be competitive.

I do think it is possible that we could take Northwestern, Michigan St, and Iowa. Hell Mike Riley almost beat Northwestern and Iowa in his 1st year and DID beat a top 10 Michigan St team (almost beat Wisconsin too). As long as we are competitive and not blown off the ball, it could be interesting. I would think it would take 2 to 3 years before Frost really starts getting things the way he wants them.

Mizzou Tigers (9-3)

UT Martin WIN (Lock could throw 6 TD passe

Wyoming WIN (Little to close for comfort)

At Purdue WIN (Big time payback, this will be lopsided)

Georgia LOSS (Upset of the year, plus these teams are young rivals)

At South Carolina LOSS (Let down/ Trap game/ plus they have our number)

At Alabama LOSS (by at least 35 points)

Memphis WIN (We let out our recent frustrations and it won't be close)

Kentucky WIN (We score around 57 points)

At Florida LOSS (Tough road game plus we've been embarrassing them of late)

Vanderbilt WIN (But too close for comfort)

At Tennesse LOSS (Another chance to pad offensive stats)

Arkansas LOSS (Close one because of the rival factor)

FIFY. Mizzou squeaks into the Birmingham Bowl.

Okie Lite's lost a lot on offense. I wouldn't be surprised if you guys go in there and win.
