I'm thinking the latter. He ran for over 3000 yards and had 40 touchdowns last year. I don't care how good you are its hard to get stats like that against elite competition. That being said, I see 247 had him as a 4* and the no 10 RB overall so maybe he got a little more recognition than I realized

Yeah 247 gave him a solid rating despite his small size and lesser competition. I wonder why he chose the Cowboys over all those teams. He might need to redshirt his first year just to gain at least 10-15 lbs of muscle mass.

We got in early. We got a couple of kids out of Canada last year and one of them is a friend of his.
