Me? Backhand slice approach-shot down-the-line. it's a thing of beauty.

Let me tell U a little story. My dad lives for tennis. Back when I was reasonable, my Dad in played an open tournament, played C doubles with my little brother, B singles and doubles , and then A doubles with me. We defeated several lower pro's but then we got up against a good pro in the semis. My Dad had never experienced that we got roasted 6-2, 6-2 but the funny thing was I'm not sure my Dad's raquet touched a ball other that when he served. It was actually quite funny.

Inside out forehand from anywhere in the court. It's a more natural shot for me than a cross court forehand or cross court backhand from the ad side.

Weakest shot is definitely my serve.

Now that my shoulder is back to normal, I'm actually going to be working with a club pro to fix my serve. I think a big reason for my rotator cuff problem was bad serving mechanics for years.

My serve has always been really bad. I learned to play completely on my own. I tried for years to learn to hit a slice or topspin serve or kick serve, but I just never got it figured out.

Believe it or not it is my 2 handed backhand half volley. I wish I was better at the more useful strokes.

When I switched from a 2 handed BH to a 1, I literally watched these hundreds of times then went out and did it. The switch was easy and now my topspin BH is ridiculous.

What type of injury did you have?

I live in a place where no one plays tennis, so I am pretty out of practice. I've probably only played five or six times the last year. When I played a lot, my best shot was definitely the first serve. Right now, it is probably the forehand or the disguised drop shot I hit off the forehand side.

My backhand has always been my weakest shot. I had a two-hander, but switched to a one hander when I shoulder surgery. Neither was particularly good. Right now, I hit the slice most of the time on the backhand side and that gets deep enough to not give up free points. But yeah, I almost never hit winners off the backhand side.

It's the only shot where I feel like I'm hitting with power.

Lots of dink and dunk other than that.

Thats what my game used to be like. Finally got groundstrokes now that I can do damage with. Should be a great summer season.
