If there is no minimum, Boogie should make it.

I don't know about Simmons.

He is having a FANTASTIC year.

But, as a Rookie, will be get the nod over Towns, Gobert, George as a frontcourt player.

Butler as a guard?

Towns and Gobert are centers. George is certainly a valid option. Butler as well.

Davis has made the All NBA team as a PF and a Center.

So has Pau Gasol and Amare Stoudimire.

Towns is the 4 when Dieng is in the lineup.

Guys can get votes at multiple positions.

I'm to lazy to look. But, I'd imagine Duncan has as well.

Sure. And most likely Towns or Gobert or George are much more likely to get in over Simmons. But from a pure impact to his team perspective, it would be hard to argue that Simmons isn't crucial to his team. The Twolves fell off appreciably when Butler went down.

The only reason I have my doubts about him making it is because he's a Rookie.

For whatever reason, the NBA has always been a " It's not your turn yet or you've won enough times already " kinda league instead of just giving awards based on merit.

Simmons is as deserving as all those other guys.

Simmons is as deserving as all those other guys.

I definitely agree with you and Simmons isn't going to make All-NBA because of exactly that reason. But he should.

Positional requirements for these teams are really dumb. Especially today. Centers are being phased out.

All NBA teams should miror the times. Each lineup should have: 1 big (C or PF), 1 G, 2 wings (SG or SF) and a flex. This could be any position.

Yeah I would switch Cousins and AD thinking back on it. AD is the MVP on that team

Cousins was an absolute monster until his injury. I would be fine with swapping AD and Cousins though.

But he played like 40 games and AD is top 3 in the MVP race. No way you can put Cousins ahead of AD if they are both "centers". Just no way.

I agree. It was more a question of whether AD is a center or not. As you say, the positions are kinda silly these days as they re so fluid. I only put AD on the 2nd team because he was listed as a PF. I'm fine with him as the No. 1 Center.

I mean, they kind of do that now.

AD can go in at Center or PF.

Jimmy Butler at SG or SF....etc

If it's an egregious omission, they have ways to right the wrong in most cases.

Agree about Davis.

I wasn't so much arguing who goes on what team as much as what guys won't make any of the three.

Simmons is a god, I mean guard. I don’t see him making it over any of the other guards. That being said, I guess they’ll just list him however they want for things like this.
