WWhy Does the Super Bowl Have to Be Played After 6:00 PM EST

Originally, they said that the Super Bowl had to played after 4:00 M EST to allow west coast fans time to get out of church and get home. Then they said it was to allow families to have a full day together. Then it was to allow the state of Hawaii to wake and have a cup of coffee.

My question is this..............why do we east coast folks have to bend over for everybody else? Today's kick off is at 6:30 PM EST, 5:30 PM in Minnesota (Game Location), 3:30 PM in California and 12:30 PM in Hawaii. I think the game should be played at 1:00 PM where ever it's played. That way, everyone has to wait or get their ass out of bed.

OR...................................Build a Stadium in the dead nuts center of the continental U.S.A. and have the game there every year at 2:30 PM local time. The stadium could be used for other stuff, even other football games to keep people employed and pay itself.

Waitimg until 6:30 PM is a pain in the ass.

If the NFL had any leadership at all, the Super Bowl would be played on Saturday afternoon at 4PM. This allows pretty much everyone in Europe to watch the game and alienates no one in North America. This, of course would require intelligence to implement.

Good thing was the Sunday and Monday night games started in the morning at work. Got to watch them in my office.....

If that's the popular view in NFL management circles then they should drop the moronic effort to sell the game to Europe. They're all in bed at midnight Sunday night, lunches packed for the kids in preparation for a busy Monday. They could give a flying fuck about another country's sport.

Yep Sunday night also alienates the majority of Asia. This SB will be on Monday morning 0630 in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia. 0830 on Monday for places like Japan.

Saturday would help in making it a more global sport.

Or just leave the NCAA and schedule your game at a time that isn't the Super Bowl. Not playing the most watched sporting event in the world at a time that makes sense, on account of amateur athletics is asinine. Especially since the NCAA doesn't respect the levels below it.
