I'm not sold on Norris as a starter . but I do think of gonzo = r lopez . if they get brittons control fixed 2 leftys and 3 righty be perfect . I do hope we get a bat like the m's guy for dh with Nolan in lf we can play with anyone .

Would they really sign Morales after this one though? And what happens with no more 1st? I think this hurts Britton alot but hopefully he can become at least a quality BP arm. I could see him now being trade bait in July if he holds his value.

if you don't have a no 1 you just lose the no 2 pick and if you was to do 3 you would lose no 3 so not much of a hurt . better than signing another one next year . britton is a gb pitcher has naty stuff it is one reason the os signed the teachers for pitching coaches . at some point we will start dealing pitchers away we paid to much for Norris hader and hoes will be a lot in years to come .

They could maybe package Britton, Berry and a position player for a decent deadline acquisition. I don't think they need Morales if UUU/Reimold/Young combine to equal the same #'s for alot less.

the way I see it Nolan is the left fielder . louth is the 4th of with a need of a proven hitter at dh . I like morales .336 obp . lhb but is slower than a turtle 27 homer and 80 rbi from dh would be nice . uuuuu needs to work on his d at aaa . morales and young could work at dh . we have to remember that nick is coming to the end of that contract .

Lough is good defensively so I think they'll get him splitting time with Reimold, which is good since he can rest and help at DH with Young. UUU needs work defensively but who would be LH DH if they send him down?

4 years, huh? O's are breaking out of their mold. Here's hoping Jimenez really pays off well!

louth is a late game guy and Nolan goes to the bench . I was shocked louth has only one year in the pros .

Gonzo has been good since he has been with the O's. Why would he be the odd man out? I think the top four spots in the rotation are set. The fifth spot will be determined during Spring training.

Jimenez, Tillman, Chen, Norris & Gonzales. Our bull pen depth is crazy right now the way I see it...

I know one thing the 4/48 for Jimenez looks a lot better than the 3/30 that the Astros gave Feldman.

Great signing.......wish the O's had done something like this last year so that the season wouldn't have been wasted.
It was better to go after a guy with Ace potential than a guy like Santana who got to pad stats against Seattle and Oakland's lineups every year and never had to face the Angels' lineup.

Two things that killed the Orioles last year:
1). 5th starter and starting pitching depth.
2). Buck's boy Teagarden's horrific record as a starter(1-9 in last 10 starts) before he was mercifully cut by Duquette.

Now just add Morales (34 HR, .924 OPS in 2009 but broke leg the next year), and the O's are set to compete in the tough AL East.
