It's hard to just pick four but I think these guys would be the ones.

Vince would obviously but Im talking just Wrestlers.

I would also say Hogan, Flair, and Austin would be locks. That #4 spot is tough so many people to choose from.

If you are only talking wrestling, than there is no way Hogan makes the list. He was pure character, no work. If by "wrestler", you mean "performer", than you could probably add VKM to the list as well.

Hogan
Giant
Flair
Austin

Hon Mention

Hart
VKM
HBK
Heenan
Sting
UT
Bruno

I have basically not watched since a little after the fall of WCW, so I really cant talk to the current crop (Cena, Angle, etc)

If wrestling had a Mt. Rushmore who would be on it?

IMO:

Hogan
Austin
Andre The Giant
Flair

Would love to know some your opinions.

:suds:

Andre
Undertaker
Hogan
Austin

in that order

flair would be a distant 5th

I respect a lot of the lists, but I don't see how you guys could exclude Hulk Hogan. I know he was sort of cheesy but back in the 1980s he was bigger than GI Joe, Thundercats, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Joe Montana, & Ronald Reagan combined,

^If they changed the national anthem from "The Star Spangled Banner" to "Real American" I wouldn't mind that at all.

Tough one

Hogan
Austin
Rock
Flair

You could argue Hart as well. I believe these guys had more impact on professional wrestling than any others.

Hogan, Austin, Rock, Cena

I hate Cena but giving credit where credit is due...the carried carried WWE for a long time in the post-Ruthless Aggression era.

For me, it would be:

Vince McMahon - wrestling wouldn't be where it is today if he didn't take the chance of going outside of the northeast.

Hulk Hogan - He helped Vince get mainstream exposure at exactly the time he needed it.

Ric Flair - 16 time world champ that drew solid crowds for decades.

Stone Cold Steve Austin - The perfect man for the Attitude Era. Without him, it wouldn't have been nearly as successful as it became.

With the Flair news, I have been thinking a lot about this topic the last few days.

I think there are a clear top 3 in Hogan, Flair and Austin. The final spot would be a toss-up between McMahon, Hart, Rock, Cena and Andre. I am a child of the 80s, so I would go Andre, but dude could not cut a promo to save his life and he was really one-dimensional in his entire career (OMG, THAT DUDE IS HUGE!). Hart was great in the ring and he had charisma, but he wasn't great on the mic. Cena has the look, but I haven't followed wrestling since he came up, so I can't speak to his strengths and/or weaknesses. Rock just didn't last long enough before graduating to Hollywood. Vinny Mac is the most influential figure in the industry, but his inclusion in this topic is queastionable.

Wrong! Early in his career before his disease get the better of him, Andre could move very well and could actually leave his feet to throw drop kicks. The one-dimensional huge guy only happened at the end of his career when his disease caused his weight to balloon and his back to be in horrible shape.

Hogan was huge in pop culture. He cut great promos and had a great look. But he sucked pretty bad in the ring.

I still say that the really old school guys don't get enough respect. Not many people have seen them and there isn't much footage out there but these guys paved the way for everyone else, decade by decade.
