HAHA! Wow!

The book on Ryan Grant:

"He shows it in practice, but not so much on Sundays. The guy runs GREAT routes, and has 'the best' hands on the team!"

That's a lot of cash for a #3 wr.

As a Steeler fan, I must ask: should I find this concerning?

Some where in one of these posts I mentioned.... too many times players we drafted and developed are just NEVER quite good enough for us to keep. The list of Ex Redskins to go to multiple playoffs, and for that matter Super Bowls on other teams is getting quite extensive.

I thought you weren't taking things so seriously.

Dickhead?

That hurts. I'm crying a little bit.

Gotta admit...I am sure happy we didn’t pay Grant. That is crazy bat shit.

Agreed, thats made money for what SHOULD amount to a 4th WR on this team. How ever, one would think, the moment cap space was determined for the 2018 season, moves would be made to secure some of these players or atlast entice them long before free agency actually started.

Just a thought.

Since I like the Steelers a lot more than the Ravens I don't mind this signing at all.

I would have offered Grant a contract worth 10 million over four seasons when the season ended.

Trent would have been 4 years, 20 mil.

Long would have been 4 years, 14 million.

Gotta get the conversation started.

Glad we didn’t resign him, certainly at that price. He was a major under achiever, given where he was picked, I guess you can’t expect too much. Some argue that we are cutting bait with a WR we developed?? How long do we need to see a guy develop? Guy had what, 40 catches last year or something? His best year and that’s because KC had no one to throw to.

I understand the thought in trying to lock these guys up on the cheap before FA starts and at least starting the conversation.. but as @coach_spurrier_1 said, why would the agents for these guys recommend they sign a dirt cheap contract with us before even dipping their toes in the FA water??

Maybe the FO is doing that for some of these players, maybe they are letting them shop around and seeing what the market is for them, and maybe they just don’t want any some of them back.
