It will be 29 fan bases just rooting against one.
As long as the Heat are contenders and the Lakers aren't,
you have very little shot of intelligent basketball conversation with this core group of posters.

I suppose one of the things you have to ask yourself is are you a fan of one team or a fan of the game? In times past, I watched every game I possibly could. These days, I pretty much follow my own team. As the season goes along there will be opportunities to see some pretty great matchups and I imagine I will take advantage of a few.

Honestly though, I doubt I will devote all that much time to watching any team but mine until the playoffs. There are only so many hours in the day. It will make me a less well informed fan, but them's the breaks.

I was with the original Heat Haters Group in 2010 on SeeBS when they first formed their trio. But that was 2010. I more than moved on from there and care more about my team than I do the Heat.

But even back then, it became a pissing contest between Laker fans and Heat fans.

I can understand Pacer fans going after the Heat. A real rivalry has taken place that has been and probably will be again played out on the court in the post season.

But some of the other stuff.....

Some of these are so bad that the idiots, in their quest to bash LeBron at every turn, actually have swayed me not only off the LeBron Hate Bandwagon but actually have me rooting for him at times.

You know, it really would be nice to make this place a smarter NBA forum.

Trolling is part of sports forum life. The non stop shit stirring posters would be a great thing to rid the place of. Unless they can clean up there act.

I see many good NBA posters talk smack and occasionally troll... That is fine. But they can also engage in intelligent conversations surrounding the game they love.

You can clearly tell the one or two that are here JUST to stir shit and bring nothing of substance.

It's more like three or four who are just here to do exactly what your last sentence says.

I root for the Cavs, but they are never on and don't want to buy the League pass when it is probably not going to be worth it.

I watch the primetime games bc I am used to it. I used to do some sports betting and got used to watching the primetime games and it made it more interesting. So I will usually watch games if I am bot busy or bored.

Yeah and that's going to remain a problem for the real Miami Heat fans for a few years because there are so many fakers pretending to be Heat fans. Once the Heat starts to lose though, the fakers fans will jump ship
