I really hope he does... because right now I don't have a good feeling about him. I would love him to change my mind.
This is it for him. If he doesn't step up he will be cut. There will be no more chances. My gut tells me he will step up based on how he played in the preseason last year:hope:. Even if he just plays on passing downs he can be helpful to us. If I remember correctly One of the UFDAs looked to be a real strong blocker. So we have enough guys in the mix to be ok this year I think with the potential to be pretty good in the future. All these guys are young and don't have many regular season snaps under their belts. I think we go 4 deep on the 53 and another on the PS

I was curious if this story was true in that the Cowboys screwed over Dez Bryant by releasing him after free agency started so that his prospects and ability to choose which team to sign with would be hard so to fire a shot back for his teammate Witten waited until draft day to announce his retirement which is obviously after free agency which hurt the Cowboys ability to really find a replacement? If this is true I think it was awesome what Witten did and way to stick up for your teammate.
Well Dez did call Witten a Garrett guy so I highly doubt Witten did this to support Dez, besides the story broke pre draft.
You can keep up the charade if you must.

I wonder how good the passing game is gonna be without their top 2 targets in Witten and Dez Bryant.

That is the Million dollar question. If you ignore the names on the jerseys and watch the video from last year it's safe to say there is little to any loss. Dez was a disaster and if he wasn't Dez probably wouldn't have been on the field and Witten (hate to put it in this thread) was showing his age big time and likely would have slowed down even more if he played this year. What we lose is Witten's presence and his ability to make the clutch play at the most important time and the "security blanket" he provided. But we gain elsewhere to offset that at least a little bit i think.

Yeah. Dez hates Witten. Clearly.

Another instance of addition by subtraction. Get rid of a guy who's a cancer in your locker room as well as a guy who as you mentioned has clearly lost a step

Wait, are you actually questioning who HIS favorite player should be? heck, mine may be Charlie Waters!!! And he said "one of"...

Sad to say but it might be way better. Not sure how they are gonna use the horses.

You may be right. Now they may be able to open up the playbook a little bit for Zeke and the receivers they still have on the roster. Hurns should be utilized alot in the passing game as well.

We had a real low bubble screen run last year. Also didn't go vertical. Austin might fill both those roles. Any way, as someone said on here that going 4 wide and running the RPO is probably be the good portion of our O.

Gotta keep defenses honest. With alot more teams running the RPO eventually DCs will find a way to defend against it and you'll see a new kind of offense make waves around the league. Remember when the Dolphins first began the Wildcat offense?

One of the few time BB looked confused as to what to do.
