So we coico end up taking Barkley @ #1 after we trade Foles to Cleveland and use the 32nd and Cleveland's 2nd round pick to move up to get Vander Esch if he drops into the mid to late teens. :D:suds::lol:

6'5", 300 OG and plays OC. In the perfect spot for us. Great need and help.

Really? I think we're ok at G and C. We need to draft one like that in the later rounds, but we need a LB, DL, T, and TE before G/C, IMO.

LB - I think FA (big need - likely biggest on the Defense)
DL - we locked up our entire DL
T - Vit played well at T, peters likely back as well
TE - keep Burton. enough done

G/C - majorly helps shore up the OL

They could still use a DT for depth and they are definitely not keeping Burton. I wish but he is going to beone of the highest paid TE in free agency this year. I wouldnt mind a G/C but I dont think the first round offers a ton of value there. Historically you can get great G/C in the later rounds. I believe it ends up being a LB or DT.

BPA period. Ir could be a RB, WR, LB, DT, TE, or OL. Only not a QB, at least not until late in the draft.

I'm thinking TE. By the time he's ready, you can let Ertz go and save a bunch of money for Wentz's huge contract. Until then you have two studs and run a lot of double TE sets.

We can get Frank Ragnow in the 4th, just as good a player if he didn't get hurt this year.

If we trade up for #15, I certainly wouldn't pick Davenport. He has major issues. We need the best LBer we can get - Edmunds, Roquan Smith, Vander Esch, or Evans.
I agree with this. At 15, I would still go with the BPA approach. I know we all want LB or OL, but if a stud WR or someone else is on the board, I'm taking it. Anyway, Howie and DOuglas got this down. I'll kick back with my Corona and enjoy Cowboys fans continue to weep.

:agree:. Maybe Ronnie Harrison, or Denzel Ward?

Are you kidding? We've got Super Howie, whose special powers are finding ways to laugh at the NFL cap while others lose sleep at night thinking about it.

It seems these days if Howie wants it to happen, bet your ass it will happen.

Yes, they have to be under the cap by approx $6-7M to sign their draft picks. The way they structure rookie contracts nowadays, that's what it is. I don't know any more about that, but that's what they say.

My list of LBs if available at 32?
1)Vander Esch
2)Rashaan Evans
3) I really like Josey Jewell out of Iowa.. Has reminds me of a bit of Sean Lee. So at 32 if these 2 Vander Esche and Evans are off the table, maybe I trade 32 and get additional picks here? Mid rounds I'm looking at Gesicki and Jewell. Still trying to figure out where we are drafting? I'm not convinced we will be picking at 32. With Howie and his aggressiveness, it would not shock me to move up or down in this draft.

Jewell is going to be a good pro player, ace special teams guy at worst. Really like the idea of Evans and Vander Esch at 32, but I don't think either of them will make it there. Denzel Ward won't make it out of the Top 10, if we're trading up. I'm hoping that someone who has a rating in the teens will slip to 32, it seems like there's always a couple of those type of guys almost every year.

Another guy to consider if he's still around in the 4th is Shaq Griffin - at worst he is going to be an ace special teams player, and can give you some play eventually in your nickel/dime packages as an extra LB or big Safety. Forget the one-hand issue, he has a a lot of flexibility at different positions, and is an elite level athlete. Eagles have always prioritized special teams players, and he has real value in the mid-rounds just for that.

I see Jewell having a Stewart Bradley type career. Nebraska biased lol Jewell is definitely better but his combine results were bad speed wise. He was 3rd slowest for players that ran. Most teams are opting for the safety/LB hybrid for coverage purposes. Not many are using LBs like Jewell any longer. Interested to see where he gets drafted

I love that the draft is in Dallas this year  makes me smile especially after the Dallas WR last year went so hard on the philly fans last year. I hope whoever announces our first pick really gives them hell.
Eric Allen already nominated himself.
