Indians' Wily Mo Pena: Signs minor league deal with Indians

Pena last appeared in the MLB in 2011 and has more recently spent his 2012 through 2015 seasons in the Japan Pacific League. At 35 years old, Pena will desperately need to regain his early-career form if he hopes to find his way on to the Indians' major league roster.

Ironically Wily Mo has a connection with the other past prime player we've been discussing. The Reds traded Wily Mo for Bronson Arroyo.

Wily Mo is a trivia name...guy never recognized a slider in his life-'they were all fastballs'..and when they really were, hit hit a few of them. Defensively, had the range of a closed fire hydrant and a glove that made you wonder if he had it on the correct hand. One of those guys that's will see more geography on less money than most in MLB.
