Wilson "visiting" Rangers spring training would be a much better way to describe what he will be doing. Basically, the Rangers paid $10k for the rights to him, but got lucky that he is actually going to give them something for their money as a motivational speaker.

Oh, I'm sure he'll get some time in the batting cage, catch some fly balls but not much more than that.

Yeah, this was all discussed at the time his contract was picked up last year. It isn't like he is going to play in any spring games or anything. Doubt he is there more than a few days and might only be one day for all we know. He will suit up and take some BP for fun, but he is there to talk to the team and that's about it.

Good for him though. Take a few days away from football. The kid never takes breaks and he has surely earned one.
