Why not? If it puts people in the seats it's good enough.
Or they can wait until they are 32 games back and then put him in.

Nah, Joey Bats was just playing rope-a-dope with the Barfs, cause they smell and he didn't want to play in Atlanta...due to the smell

Tebow has a 14/61 BB/K ratio in 40 games at AA. He's 30.

he's hitting lately, but he's still sporting a .733 OPS (and a 20/88 BB/K ratio) as a 30-year-old in AA.

Yes he will be called up. You can mock the dude all you want but what he's doing is amazing. Dude went a decade without playing baseball and he's a AA all star ( AA is where the major league talent is generally). He strikes out too much but otherwise he's been pretty unreal and the Mets may be the worst team in the NL. If he keeps improving there is no shame in calling him up and I wouldn't even call it 100% a publicity stunt

The fact that he made it shows how much of a joke the AA ASG is. He has a .720 OPS. He's almost 31.

It's a nice effort given how long he didn't play baseball, but he still hasn't done anything to suggest he can play in the majors.

Zero reason to watch any more Mets games this year now.
