It baffles me that teams are lining up to name this guy HC

One of the surest locks of every NFL postseason, is the Bengals offense being one of the worst performing units in the field

It would be a red flag to me that this guys offense is god awful every single time it counts

No Dalton this year (and still did ok)
No Green, Jones, Eifert last year

So, what's your point?

That's like saying Eli Manning didn't do well in a playoff game without Odell, Randle, and Tye, but screw it it's the OC's fault anyway.

They went against an awful Colts defense last season

They went against an awful Pitt secondary this season, and made one play through the air all night

We both know Hue Jackson will be fired from his new job within 2 years

"Duh, I have no legit response"

The Bengals didn't have their #1,#2 WR's and their top 5 TE last year in the playoffs. "Gee, I wonder why the offense sucked."

Tyler Eifert wasn't a top 5 TE last season

And stop acting like not having Andy Dalton isn't a good thing

The Ravens torched the Steelers defense 2 weeks ago, and their entire offense is in the hospital

If you want to argue that Hue Jackson is a bad OC based on past history that is one thing.

But criticism him because the Bengals offense sputtered with their backup QB during a monsoon is a little unreasonable.

Andy Dalton is one of the worst postseason QBS of all Time. A 55 rating

If not having that is a valid excuse, God be with the team that hires Hue Jackson

I guess the question then is whether Jackson is the problem or Dalton.

Jackson is going to be hired or not hired based on more than 2 games.

Hue Jackson has produced up to or outproduced his offense's talent level for years. He's a great offensive mind and will stick around for a while if given a serious chance.

Dirt will get his guy:suds:

Giants officially requested to interview Bengals OC Hue Jackson.

As was expected. Jackson should interview with New York early this week. Reportedly the "front-runner" in San Francisco, Jackson will have his pick of the litter now than Adam Gase is off the market. Jackson has also met with the Browns.

Easy answer is the Rooney Rule.

However I think this guy is a legit coach. He'll be a head coach somewhere next year.

Timeout on the very first play of the game

Inexplicable QB change to a guy that turned it over 3 times, and turned a close game into a laugher

Nice work so far Hue

And why the hell is he playing Crowell over Duke Johnson when they are down and throwing the ball at teh end of the game. You have a guy with better hands and better in the open field and you play Crowell??? WTF???

disclaimer: yes, I played Duke on my fantasy team...:D

I'm actually a big Hue Jackson fan. He was the one coach during the terrible Raiders years that actually had the team looking respectable. Heck last year before injury he had Andy Dalton of all people in the MVP conversation. While yes this is a terrible year I'm pretty sure everybody knew that was going to be the case. You don't turn around a dumpster fire like the Browns in one off season. You then throw in that the top-2 QB's get injured, top WR continues to be suspended, relying a ton on quite a few rookies, and I could continue but it was going to be a season of just getting some young guys some experience and see how they develop.

He's been to the playoffs with a ginger as QB.

Man should be in the HOF.
