That's very possible and probably a legit point. To further help your reasoning for JR being the reason for their struggles just look at the playoffs last year. He was great in the first 3 games which was when they got out to a 3-0 lead on Boston then he got suspended for the elbow to Terry and was never the same for the rest of the playoffs which contributed to them being taken down by Indy in 6

Melo is not a guy you can win with. Their mistake was when they made the Melo trade. Amare was at his best with guys like Chandler, Gallo, Felton. It ruined all the chemistry that team had. They went out and tried to compete with Boston's big 3 and then Miami's, but it didn't work.
