I think Colombia takes the group, and Poland & Senegal fight it out for 2nd.I think this is my favorite group - could see any of these teams going through. I actually like Senegal to win the group with Poland edging Colombia for second.
They won their group last WC (which also included Japan), took out Uruguay in the knockout, then only got put out in the quarters against Brazil because of home cooking referees. And James Rodriguez won the Golden Boot.Took Poland and Japan... Don't think Colombia is there just yet...

Not sure if there's really a continent advantage anymore, and I don't think it effected the South Americans that much anyway since most of their best players have or do play in Europe professionally, but I do believe there is an advantage in being the host nation.Do you think there's any kind of home-continent advantage here? I think maybe in the past you might expect South American teams like Peru and Colombia to struggle in a European world cup and vice-versa with the European teams in South America. Probably doesn't apply any more in this global game.

Hell yeah there is. How do you think Russia will make it to the knockout stage?
