Serious question. Float some names for us. We're at a bit of a loss on the Husker board. To some, the timing screams out NFL guy.

I've heard some really crazy names come out of the mouths of people who usually don't go down the pipe dream rabbit hole, but that's the nature of these kinds of things I guess.

This is a name that we talked about. I dunno.

It has to be a dynamic recruiter with the same scheme, or a radical philosophy change.

Claeys doesn't really fit that narrative.

There's that pipe dream deal I see sane people floating within the sphere of Husker Nation.

The thing that is being said over and over is it's probably a 3-4 guy, and if it's not, then it has to be someone who is a dynamic recruiter because Banker had zero commits in this cycle when he was given an address change. Let that sink in.

I was told he was at the AFCA convention last weekend, where apparently a lot of guys conduct job interviews.

Be interested to know what DC's who fit the profile were present there.

Not sure about what kind of scheme Nebraska has compared to Claeys philosophy but he did a solid job as both DC and HC at Minnesota. Unless Nebraska has a sure fire guy in their sights from the NFL, I think it would be a good hire

My Dumb Ideas

Rocky Long San Diego State. Sure he is the head coach but he lives in San Diego. He could go to Lincoln and experience that Lincoln, Nebraska weather. But he is a good defensive mind. No chance.

Nate Woody Appalachian State. First of all, he has the last name of Woody. We all love to say the name of Booger Mcfarland, and snicker at it. Who wouldn't want to hear Defensive Coordinator Woody on TV?
