I know we saw Randy Johnson, Curt Schilling, and Pedro Martinez do it. But who will be the next to do it? Who has the best chance?

With strict pitch counts, extra days off, and inning limits...not sure it will happen very often from here on out. If someone does do it, I'd expect it to be someone like Darvish who has a lot of putaway pitches though.

Oh, and I'm a homer :)

The first name who comes to mind obviously is Strasburg but the Nats seem so conservative with him I just don't see them ever overextending the guy. It may not happen again.

Man, tough to say. You need the perfect combination of layup schedule and skill. It would most likely have to be somebody in a shitty division. Then combine that with they'd have to luck out with their scheduling, maybe the tougher teams they face sit a starter or 2 when they play them, injuries to the other teams etc. A lot has to go right for them.

I don't know if anybody fits that criteria completely, but Yu is a strikeout machine, Verlander, CC, Felix.

I do agree about the Strict pitch counts thing, i just wish there was more freedom with pitchers. Verlander was the closest with 269 in one year. It will be interesting though i could see verlander, Stras, yu darvish, and max scherzer. he struke out 11 per 9 innings.

You need innings and strikeouts pretty much
