One of Darnold, Allen, or Mayfield I'd imagine. The most logical choice is Mayfield, but who knows what the Browns actually think.

Talk as of today sounds like it's between Mayfield and Allen. But still plenty of time left for wild speculations to change.

It's crazy to me as a guy who has actually looked into Dorsey's past drafts that it could be anyone but Mayfield to me. Not that it is impossible- just seems like it's almost too suspicious.

Hah, more to do with how I feel Mayfield compares to past QB’s in Dorsey’s career. Mobility and accuracy in particular.

I'm not buying the accuracy claims. He was throwing to wide open receivers most of the time in that spread offense. He's not very fast/athletic either.

This is one concern I have regarding his abilities. His accuracy numbers could very well be attributed to the offense he ran, while Allen was playing in a completely pro-style offense at Wyoming. Seeing Matt Stafford and Matt Ryan complete under 60% in college while running pro schemes is giving me a bit of relief about Allen's pro stock, especially considering his high wonderlic.

This is kinda how I see things based on how everyone is evaluating the talent.

1. Sam Darnold - Browns (Safest QB. Browns can't afford risks)
2. Bradley Chubb - Giants (positional value, need, talent and Eli Manning getting too much rope)
3. Baker Mayfield - Jets
4. Saquon Barkley - Browns
5. Josh Rosen - Bills via Broncos (Bills need someone pro ready so he jumps Allen)
6. Josh Allen - Patriots via Colts (Patriots can wait to develop Allen)
7. Derwin James - Tampa Bay
8. Quenton Nelson - Chicago
9. Roquan Smith - Niners
10. Potato Sallad - Raiders

What would the Patriots have to give up to get to #6? 1,1,2,3 this year I would guess...

I could see the Giants going with Barkley if they decide they need to load up for Eli's last run.

That seems like a lot. I suspect if it actually did happen it wouldn't take much more than both 1sts

Giants were reportedly asking for both Bills 1sts, 2nds, and a future 1st for #2. QBs inflate prices, especially with competition for those QBs. Just going by the trade chart:

#6: 1600 pts
#s 23, 31, 63, 96: 1756 pts

Maybe they get to keep 96 (1636 pts for the first 3).

Yikes. QBs do inflate prices but I figure thats why the draft value chart is weighted like it is.

The rumors I was hearing is that teams are finding a lot of value in trading down into rd2 and rd3 because of the depth in those rounds. That said, you might have a point with QBs but if thats the case I'd imagine that the Patriots would pass.

When I hear a report like the Giants wanting all of those picks it reminds me of what the Titans were doing when they had the #2 pick and they were hearing what other teams wanted for Mariota. They had the price so high on Mariota that it became apparent that they weren't seriously trying to trade down.

How I see it:

1. Browns - Mayfield
2. Giants - Rosen
3. Jets - Darnold
4. Browns - Chubb
5. Broncos - Allen/trade out

How I would like it:
1. Browns - Barkley
2. Giants - Rosen
3. Jets - Darnold/Mayfield
4. Browns - Chubb
5. Broncos - Darnold/Mayfield/Allen

I think Barkley should be the top pick. I don't see a D Watson in this year's class, but the QB is around 5 deep at the top. I don't think there is much separating Josh Allen and Sam Darnold. Barkley is by far the most valuable RB in this year's draft. I just think it would be dumb to take 2 QBs unless they trade him away.

Just curious but what did you see in Watson in college that you don't see in Mayfield?
