Sanders. The only choice.
But I'd say the real reason for the poll was to take a shot at OU fans.
Just b_dub and romeo. The rest of the OU posters are solid enough. :)

Anyone in Oklahoma with the love of Oklahoma Football wouldn't see this as that much of a jab at OU fans. Even though the only two players listed are both from OSU we know damn well who they are and why they are known as the greats.

That being said, Barry and Thurman were great players, college and pro. Peterson had the speed and agility just like those two guys, so he can definitely be listed among those two if he has a few more stand out years in the pros. Samaje was just a Mack truck, he had power and speed. His agility was he would run you over like a Semi mowing down a Prius. Once he got past you your chances of catching him were really slim, but if you did it wouldn't be till damn near the end-zone. He may not become a big pro player, but he will always be considered one of College's best RBs, and he has that record to prove it, you know the one.

Then there was "The Best that Never Was". My personal opinion, Marcus Dupree is the GOAT from Oklahoma. Lightning quick speed, agility to shift on a dime, and Power to run you over. He had it all. It was such a shame to see how his career turned out, he could of been one of the All Time Greats in Football, college and pro.

But, since we are just given two names here..as much as i love potato salad, i gotta go with Barry, he was awesome to watch play. I use to have a poster of him when i was growing up cause he was one of my favorites to watch. To bad his son didnt have much more than a name, would of been awesome to see two Barry's be great.

I always liked Billy Vessels and Tommy MacDonald. Those were
big-time ball players

Marcus Dupree if we're talking pure RB talent with Barry Sanders and Joe Washington as very close seconds if not a 3-way tie. The three of those guise did shit that blew my mind every fucking game. The field vision and agility these fellows displayed in stomping mudholes in the competition was unreal.

If we're talking statistically, it would have to be Samaje Perine. He was always sharing carries playing in a 50/50 offense and was still able to be the all-time OU rushing yards leader in 3 years. We may never see another talent like him. I would bet he has one of the highest average Yards After Contact in the NCAA.

This might be the biggest homer post in the history of this site.

Lol. One of the weakest troll threads I’ve ever seen. And that’s saying something considering OP’s level of epic fails. Be sure and tell us the part where we are supposed to be upset.

Barry Sanders all day. I’m sure most OU fans would even agree with this.
