I think Thurman was better in college and Barry better in the pros.

Marcus Dupree if we're talking pure RB talent with Barry Sanders and Joe Washington as very close seconds if not a 3-way tie. The three of those guise did shit that blew my mind every fucking game. The field vision and agility these fellows displayed in stomping mudholes in the competition was unreal.

If we're talking statistically, it would have to be Samaje Perine. He was always sharing carries playing in a 50/50 offense and was still able to be the all-time OU rushing yards leader in 3 years. We may never see another talent like him. I would bet he has one of the highest average Yards After Contact in the NCAA.

The op didn't clarify college or pro or both.
College I can't see how anyone can say it isn't Sanders. Even just the one season.
Pro it's still Sanders but in fairness Sims got hurt. Peterson is also in the conversation.
